This hole of agony.
Continuously digging
With a shovel of hopelessness,
It sinks deeper.
This desolate ditch,
Stretches far,
Into the cold ground.
Soaked around heartache.
Can it go any deeper?
A hollowed-out man.
Expanding in darkness,
Lost within it,
Miles down under.
Trapped in the deep.
Emotionally dug out
From years of grief.
How deep can it go?
Will it cave in,
And swallow the dark within?
What awaits at its depths?
