The day had started off with a light drizzle, and as Bree walked through the market square, she could not help but admire the way the raindrops glistened on the colorful flowers and fruits that were on display. She had grown up in this village and had seen this market a thousand times before, but each time it still managed to fill her heart with warmth.

The market in Dedham was a bustling and lively place, filled with a mix of shop owners and customers from all walks of life. The stalls were lined up in a neat row, each one displaying its wares with pride. Bree strolled through the market, taking in the sights and sounds around her. She saw vendors hawking their goods, shouting out their prices in loud voices to attract customers. She saw women in long skirts and bonnets, carrying baskets filled with fresh produce and meats.

Bree felt a sense of familiarity and comfort in the market. She had grown up in this village and had spent many afternoons wandering through these same stalls. As she walked, she could hear the chatter of the customers, the clucking of chickens, and the occasional bleating of a sheep. The smells of fresh baked bread, roasted meat, and blooming flowers mingled together in the air, creating a heady mix.

As she walked, she caught sight of her friend Mary, who ran a small bakery in the market. Mary was waving to her excitedly, her face beaming with a smile. Bree made her way over to her, feeling a sense of warmth at the sight of her friend.

"Good morning, Bree!" Mary said, her eyes shining. "Is it not a lovely day for a walk through the market?"

Bree smiled back, feeling grateful for the company. "Yes, it is. I always love coming here. It is so lively."

Mary nodded in agreement, and then leaned in closer. "Have you heard the latest gossip about the writer staying at your house?" she asked in a conspiratorial tone.

Bree shook her head, curious. " Who? Mr. Byun?.......No, what is it?"

Mary nodded eagerly. "That is the one. And let me tell you, Bree, I have heard some interesting things about him. They say he is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, with words that can make even the darkest of souls feel alive again."

Bree was taken aback by the metaphor but could not deny the intrigue it sparked within her. "Is that so?" she said, her curiosity piqued.

Mary nodded again, her eyes gleaming. "Oh, yes. And I have also heard that he has a way of charming the ladies. You should be careful, my dear Bree. You do not want to get caught in his web."

Bree laughed softly, dismissing the notion. "I do not think I have anything to worry about. Besides, I am not sure I would know how to talk to a writer like him."

Mary's expression softened. "Do not sell yourself short, Bree. You are a bright young woman with a lot to offer. Who knows, maybe he will be the one who can finally bring some color back into your life."

Mary just shrugged and handed Bree a freshly baked pastry. "Well, I am just telling you what I have heard. You know how people love a bit of scandal. Anyway, enjoy your treat!"

Bree thanked her friend and took a bite of the pastry, savoring the sweet, buttery flavor. As she continued to walk through the market.

As Bree made her way back from the market, her arms laden with heavy bags, she was caught off guard by a figure strolling outside her house. It was Baekhyun, his expression curious and friendly.

"Good afternoon, Miss Bamford," he greeted her, bowing slightly. "May I offer my assistance with those bags? They look terribly heavy."

Bree hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to make of his offer. She was wary of giving birth to any rumors, and the thought of being seen with a man like Baekhyun could potentially damage her reputation.
