I jolted up to the sound of silence in my room. My alarm didn't go off. 'Shit' I thought to myself. It's 10AM and I have to be at Finney's game by 10:25AM. I quickly got out of bed and picked out an outfit.

I then went to my desk/vanity and quickly did my makeup and brush my hair.
"Are you almost ready? We're gonna be late!" My mom said knocking on my door
"I'm coming!" I said
I got up from my desk and grabbed my bag. I then went to brush my teeth in the bathroom.
"Ok I'm ready!" I said
I got Vance's vest from my room because he let me borrow it and I promised that I'd give it back today. I put on the vest and put on my shoes and ran out to the car. By the time we got there, the game was 2 minutes from starting. I quickly found Gwen and Robin sitting down in the crowd. I tried to look for Vance but he was no where to be seen.
After 2 minutes, the game started. After a few minutes, I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey Doll" Vance said
"H-hey" I blushed a bit
"Sorry, I'll stop calling you that if you want" he sat next to me
"No, its fine. I don't mind" I shrugged
We didn't talk for a minute.
"You're wearing my vest" he broke the silence
"Oh y-" I got cut off
"Don't worry about it" he put his arm around my shoulder
We watched the game for while and I was cheering on Finney. At the last pitch, Finney was pitching against this guy named Bruce Yamada. Finney threw the ball and then..
STRIKE 1!
"Yes! Let's go Finney!" Gwen cheered

"You can do it Finney!" I cheered

Bruce hit the ball and Finney ran to catch it but it went over the fence. Bruce's team mates started chanting Bruce's name. Finney looked really disappointed. After everyone left the field, me and Gwen went down to see Finney.
"Hey Finney, you did great" I hugged him
"I mean yea I guess but Donna was here so.." he said
