Having to severe the fish demon's arm to save Kotetsu, Muichiro orders him to run away to avoid getting hurt and impeding his fighting. The demon heals and lunges at him but the Mist Hashira dashes forward and beheads it. To his surprise, it continues to move around and eventually regrows its head completely. He notices the vase on its back and slices through it, finally killing the demon and confirming his suspicions that it was made with a Blood Demon Art.
Kotetsu stands up after almost getting killed then he looks into Muichirou's eyes, he could barely say anything and after realizing what he just went through, Kotetsu burst into emotions and tears and embrace muichirou with the biggest hug he has ever received. thanking him for saving his life and apologizing for how he acted towards him when they met. Muichirou couldn't help but blush at this predicament along with his eyes lighting up again, Kotetsu notice that and couldn't help but blushed too and having his tears died down
Muichirou POV
I never felt this way before or is it that have never felt this way in so long, my memories was like a fog, my amnesia and inability to remember things has always been something I had to deal with ever since demons entered everyone's life's. This familiar feeling in all honesty... I admit it felt good, it's like what Tanjiro has stated. I then hugged back and after a few minutes I let go of it him. "I still never catched your name." I said with the same blank face. "k..k..Kotetsu." He stuttered. I went to check if he's hurt cus of how long he was stalling that Blood Demon Art, but I didn't notice my hand was holding on his right side of his mask, then my mind went back to this curiosity again, what's behind the mask, I wonder if checking on his face from any cuts or bruises is wise? Then Kotetsu put his hand on my my hand and used it to slowly lift his mask up a bit, I only gotten a small glimpse as I thought that be all I'll be receiving...but then he lift his mask more enough to see his entire face.

It was clear that with or without the mask no one would tell the difference, but for me I couldn't help but being surprised. Like his mask his face consist of the same bushy eyebrows, however his eyes were more human like but also pretty...and cute..I don't understand what's going on with me at that very moment but now there were some guilt I gained cus I was taking this boy for granted, this was the only thing that I can feel for now however it can't last forever especially now. We let go in silence and I tried to move on, but Kotetsu stops me and begs me save someone name Kozo, currently under attack. He also explains to me that Hotaru has been polishing a blade day by day continuously alone and begs me to save them but clearly still blushing. Any attempts to ignore him was futile especially when I then suddenly remember something that Kagaya Ubuyashiki, my master had said to me: "You will definitely get yourself back, Muichiro."
I remembers when I was visited by the Corps leader and his wife, I was laying in recovery from a demon attack. Kagaya, noticed my confusion, and tells me to only think about surviving, and that as long as I stay alive, my lost memories will come back to me in time. The leader informs me to not miss the opportunity, as even insignificant events can trigger it to eventually clear my mind. Taking Kagaya's words in, I return to reality and immediately hoists Kotetsu on my shoulder and speeding through the forest, much to his fright which I kinda find a tiny bit funny, As I run, I had no doubt that I'm now making the right decision, not sure if moving to save Kozo and Hotaru will jeopardize the village's protection. Nonetheless, I look back at kotetsu and not have any doubts and reaffirms myself that I can succeed, as Kagaya has recognized me as the Mist Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.
Kotetsu POV
I was scared for how fast he was running while carrying me. "HEY HEY LET'S TAKE OUR TIME A BIT! JUST A BIT!!" I yelled. " Careful you continue speaking like that you'll bite your own tongue...names Muichirou by the way." The Mist Hashira said. I blush yet again, I'm happy that I know his name but I'm mostly happy he is gonna be helping me, like he just saved me just now and I hope I could repay him eventually, I don't care about what happened between us before, I'm just glad I'm in good terms with him like I am with Tanjiro, However when it comes to Muichirou...I really want to start doing more for him, he already done enough for me to take back anything bad and that...even for a few days...I really do like him
