Chapter 5.

It had been about 2 days since the incident, and I was still being ragged on by Jessica, her jock boyfriend and her bully-crew of three. Me and my dad had recently gone to Walmart and we got a diary that my therapist recommended I get to write down my feelings and emotions in daily. I lay in bed in my light blue room, my fairy lights hanging down as paper made moths sit from the ceiling. Looking up at the clock on the wall, it read 5:07 PM. I grasped the diary that lay on my nightstand. It was a black leather book, with thick lined pages. I sharpened my pencil, and began writing.

'Dear myself and anyone who dare read this, I'm feeling new feelings, and I don't know what to do about it. I feel happier around Knox, happy like no one has ever made me. I'm confused though, because it seems like whenever I'm around them, my body feels hot, and I don't act like myself, I act better than I usually am. What do I do about this? Do I tell them how I'm feeling? Do I keep it to myself? Please, give me an answer soon.'

I closed the book and set it in my drawer, I took out my phone and opened Snapchat. I put on the kisses on the face filter, and turned my phone to the left more, bringing it closer to my face. I took the photo with my good side facing it, and posted it to my story, I looked through my Snap contacts slowly. I had little to none so I didn't go far, becoming seemingly bored as I waited for people to see my snap.

I smiled as I saw Knox's contact, a good friend.

POV: Knox.

I was on my bike going down the street, I had so much kandi on it went all the way to the middle of my forearm, only a couple inches down from my elbow. I had been riding for almost 10 minutes and was just about to pull into the nearby park, I rode on to the wood chips, laying down my bike and going to sit on the swings. I heard my phone vibrate and make a noise in my back pocket, I pulled it out, and saw a couple notifications.

I immediately clicked to see Kai's new snap. I loved seeing them honestly. They were quiet, but fun too, and they had so many emotions that I could register perfectly. I pulled them to the front of my thoughts, the picture loaded and a minor blush crept across my tan skinned face. A smile formed as I looked at the photo, I began texting them quickly as I sat on the park swings.

POV: Kai.

I saw that I got a message from Knox, my eyes perked up at the message and I opened it, smiling gleefully.

Knox! <3: "I love the photo you got of yourself! It's adorable! I'm at the park by orchard stream, wanna meet me there? I'm already here!"

Me: "Thanks! ^^ And sure, I'll be there in five!"

I got up from my bed, pulling my leather boots on and putting on some black shorts because it was quite hot outside. I rode my bike down to the stream, the refreshing wind blowing through my short hair as I smiled. I pulled into the park, the wood chips moving out of the way from the bikes wheels. I saw Knox sitting on the swings, on their phone. I waved and shouted their name, they got up quickly and ran to hug me. We both embraced in a warm hug. 'Hey! How are you?' I spoke happily, I realized I had never been so prosperous to see someone before.

They spoke with a smile on their face, pulling out of the hug as we both stood. They were a bit taller than me so they had to look down when speaking. " I'm just perfect! Happy to see you. You're just as great looking as in your photo, with or without a filter." They spoke kindly, putting their hand out, beckoning me to grasp it. "Now, come on, I want to show you something!" I grabbed their hand, excited. They began to run over to the metal fence that blocked off the woods behind the park, we both climbed over it, grinning and giggling devilishly. They led me through the woods, and put their hand over my eyes as I began to see light through the trees.

I giggled once more, this time more humorous. 'Oh? I wonder what it is!' They smiled, I could sense it even though I couldn't see. They spoke, obviously excited for me to see it. "You're gonna love it!" I heard the sound of branches being stepped on, and then we stopped. I could feel the sun beaming down on my freckled skin, they put their hand down. "And here it is! Don't you just love it dear?" I blinked as my eyes adjusted to the light, I looked around, and saw a field of bright flowers. The field went far, until it hit the forest, it was filled with flowers and grass to play in. I saw the birds fly overhead, and the butterflies in the plants.

I listened to the bees as they buzzed around, my mine clouded with the feeling of.. Gratefulness. My face spread with blush as they called me dear. 'Oh Knox, this is perfect! You're so thoughtful, even bringing me here makes me just so.. Delighted!' I hugged Knox, smiling widely. I gasped softly as they grabbed my hips, swinging me around in the air as they ran down the hill, we laughed happily together, my face was blooming with a light rose colored blush, and so was theirs. This moment was perfect. I was happy, they were happy, we were happy. The smell of flowers floated through the air, the sun settled behind us, illuminating our dark figures.

Suddenly, Knox fell over by my weight as they held me up, we toppled onto the ground, and burst out laughing as we lay in the prickling patches of grass and the soft flowers. I wiped a tear of laughter from my eye, holding my stomach as I laid on my back. 'This is perfect!' I breathed out deeply, resting my body as they did too. "I'm glad, and the moment isn't the only thing that's perfect!" I felt my body get picked up, they were holding me bridal style, they began twirling around, the sun had fully set, and the moon was the only light in the sky. We danced under the sky. They nuzzled my neck happily, both of us laughing, my cheeks reddened.

"There's my sweet Kai! You don't like it when I make you laugh do you? Well guess what~? I think it's adorable!" They began pinching my sides and ticking my stomach, my body jumped and squirmed in their arms as a tear fell from my eye from laughing so hard. 'Knox! It tickles! It tickles! Stop it!' I giggled, pulling my knees to my chest, they put me down and we sat on the ground next to each other.

I put my head on their shoulder as I got tired, I began dozing off. Knox looked over at me, I had fallen asleep. They picked me up softly, trying not to wake me up, and took me back to their dorm, setting me on the couch. They sat on the arm of the chair, resting their head in their arms. They laid my head in their lap, and we both fell asleep to the sound of a random movie playing on the TV.

This was perfect. I was finally.. complete.
