This isn't goodbye, this is simply see you later

Home can mean many things to many different people.

To some, home is a physical place, built from the ground up with sentimental objects and a place to thrive. To others, home changes, never staying in a permanent place. And for the lucky few, home refers to a person; a pillar of safety where everything just feels right

For her younger years, Aella was familiar with a moving home. It didn't matter that they had limited space in their little caravan. Wherever they went, her parents would make travelling fun whilst making sure to shield her from the horror of sickness and death. Her father even made her a little bag filled with plasters, and would task 'little doctor Rematos' to clean up Zinon's cuts and scrapes. It made her feel so important.

Home had changed quite drastically over the years until she found Fairy Tail. Home was a united feeling, a special family. Whilst all had come from unique situations (like Kiizura who willingly left her home in search of a new one, or Lucy who settled into the opposite of a lavish lifestyle) all now came together to form the home of Fairy Tail.

There was a distinct buzz in the air when Aella stepped off the train. Much like the excitement in the air around the Fantasia Parade, this unique feeling amongst the citizens of Magnolia alluded to festival season. The sun was setting as Aella weaved her way through the market stalls, careful not to bump into anyone. Despite the sunset, the streets were still relatively busy. The air was light but warm, a perfect evening to a summer's day. Aella took in the sea air.

Home.

Aella pushed the door to her room open, bending her head down as she entered to stuff her keys back into her coat pocket. When she lifted her head back up, she locked eyes with a semi-surpried Kiizura. Her arms were raised to rearrange some of the shelves on the wall. As she stared at Aella, her arms slowly lowered to her side.

"Hello?"

"Hey." Kiizura calmly responded. The shelves, which didn't have much on them to begin with, now had a few more trinkets, and were framed by some fairy lights. Since moving into the room when she was sixteen, and now twenty-two, all the decorating had somehow been done by other people.

"How did you get in?"

Without breaking eye contact, Kiizura slowly pointed to the window over her shoulders, a crooked smile plastered on her face. She had left the window slightly open, but had handily tied the curtains to the side. She found that she could watch the sunset from her place, rearranging Aella's whole room. Even the bed had been moved.

"Right." Aella dropped her bag just inside the door. "Why?"

Kiizura shrugged in response. Her eyes moved back to the shelf. "Needed somewhere quiet." She flicked the fairy lights. "I got these for you. Welcome back present."

Aella gave a nod; "I can see that."

The younger mage smirked slightly. "You're looking tired. When did you last sleep?"
