MOUNT JUSTICE July 20, 10:45 EDT
LAURA KNEW DIANA ALWAYS HAD HER BEST INTEREST AT HEART, but sometimes her guardian's intentions alone didn't make for good cooking, and in Diana's case, they made for something closer to war crimes in a skillet. One bite, and you'd think she'd weaponized the stove. If there was a global threat involving food poisoning, Diana would be first on the list of suspects. The kitchen, Laura decided long ago, was Diana's personal nemesis, and everyone else was collateral damage.
So she had quickly learned to handle the cooking and most of the chores, often wondering if that's why Diana had a housekeeper that comes by every week.
But it wasn't just her cooking that could boil Laura's blood faster than a pot of pasta water on high heat. Her decisions, oh, her decisions.
In this case of point: now.
"The Young Justice League, really?" Laura planted her hands on her hips. "This isn't a team; it's a glorified daycare. And you want me to join?"
Diana, standing in the kitchen with her arms crossed like she was still deciding whether to lecture or laugh, but she didn't budge. "J'onn's niece adjusted well, and M'gann arrived last June same as you. M'gann has adapted wonderfully. Both of them highly recommend this opportunity for you."
