End of the Shift

Kotetsu POV:

Of course as soon as Izumo layed on my shoulder and fell asleep Tsunade-sama had to come to tell us our shift was over.

"Izumo, Kotetsu, your shift is o--" Tsunade-sama said as she was walking towards me and Izumo. I blushed, I could feel my face get hot and the tingly feeling was back.

"Tsunade-sama it's not what it seems! You see It's uh.. Just in a best friend manner!" I said, fumbling over my own words and stuttering a bit. This is the second time she's caught me and Izumo having a moment kinda like this. Last time it looked like we were going to kiss, but then she walked in. Me and Izumo had to explain to her it wasn't like that. Although, I don't think she believed us.

"I'll just leave you two alone.." Tsunade-sama replied, looking kind of embarrassed. I knew she thought we were dating. Not going to lie, I actually do like Izumo. In more of a friend way. We've been best friends since the academy, we are inseparable. Tsunade-sama then walked away back towards the Hokage Building. I just sat there, my face hot and most likely red. I used the hand opposite to the shoulder he was leaning on to nudge him awake, he woke up and sat up straight, he then stretched and layed back down on my shoulder, he wasn't fully awake yet.

"5 more minutes.."

"Izumo, you can sleep in your apartment, but my shoulder is off limits for now. Besides, our shift ended and the night gate guards will be here soon." I sighed and stood up, causing Izumo to fall over, I laughed at him to which he got angry.

Izumo POV:

I fell over to which Kotetsu laughed at me, I was wide awake now and mad at him. I got up and punched his shoulder.

"Hey-!" He yelped out as after I punched him, I crossed my arms and looked at him with a disappointed expression then rolled my eyes. He apologized with a smile, I sighed and then began walking towards the apartment complex. Kotetsu soon following me, the night gate guard shinobi passed by us when Kotetsu was trying to catch up to me, I was walking kind of fast.

"Izumo wait up!" Kotetsu called after me, so I stopped. I looked behind me at Kotetsu and then I looked at the night gate guard shinobi and waved before noticing that Kotetsu had caught up. I looked at Kotetsu and walked a little slower.

"You walk to fast man-" Apparently I do walk to fast, he's told me a million times at this point. I don't mind though, I find it funny watching him struggle to keep my pace.

I chuckled, "I guess I'm just a fast walker." I smiled at him and he smiled back and rolled his eyes. Man, I wish I could stay over at his place tonight, or him stay at mine. I hate separating from him, I just hate it. I have decided to ask him. "Hey Kotetsu?"

"Yeah Izumo?"

"Want to come over to my place and stay the night tonight?" I asked him, continuing to walk but at a slower pace so that Kotetsu could keep up.

"I don't see why not. So sure." He smiled and gave me a thumbs up, I was relieved that we wouldn't separate tonight, I love spending time with him.

"Great!" I smiled back at him. Sometimes I wonder, if I actually like Kotetsu as just a friend. I mean we have been friends for a long time, since the academy
