Chap 9: A new life

" I gonna get it!" A 15 years old boy exclaims with his friend
" This time you gonna pass!" A girl cheered him.
" You are now enough age, they won't decline you again" A boy encourage.
" Yeah!" The boy with blue eyes happily said.
That boy's name is Taufan. He has two big secrets that no one can know.
His big brother is the lengendary idol, Boboiboy, the one that was killed by a crazy fan. And the other...
He has 7 more brothers, just like him, were reborn as their idol's brothers.
" I will make it! I gonna be just like big bro- Ack!" A notebook smacked into his head.
Taufan turn back to meet a pair of red eyes. A boy who seems to be as old as him, is holding the notebook.
" Hali!!! That's really hurt, you know!"
" Then be quiet or you will get more of these." Hali raise the notebook as a threat.
" Geez, geez calm down! I will be quiet..."
" Stop dreaming and focus on your study, the high school entrance test is coming..." Hali said.
" Hali is always caring for your little brothers, huh?" Taufan's friend said.
" Hitting me with a notebook is not caring!" Taufan said angrily.
" C'mon the others are waiting..." Hali said while dragging Taufan out of the class.
" Ouch! Ouch! Bye bye guys"
The two boys with another one are walking in the hallway together.
" You need to be more careful, you almost exposed yourself right there"
" Sheesh... sorry, ok?" Taufan said.
" Yeah, we don't want his big secret exposed, right?" A boy with golden eyes said.
" I got it, Gempa, I will be more careful next time" Taufan apologized.
" Where are the others, Gempa?" Hali asked.
" Their usual spots"Gempa said with a soft smile while looking at the soccer field.
" GOAL!" The team yelled when a boy shoot a goal. The boy high-five with his teamates before run toward the trio.
" Did you guys see that? I totally rock that goal!"
" Yeah, we saw it, Blaze, you did well today!" Gempa handed him a water bottle.
"Ah! Thanks Gem!" Blaze recieved the bottle. Let's go get that sleepy head!"
They all head to the archery area.
BUP!
An arrow hit the target.
" 20 targets in a day! New record, Ice!"
A lady approached the archer.
" Thank you, coach" The boy reply with a soft smile.
" Ok, let's pack things up and go home, your brothers are waiting!" The coach pointed at the group.
After packing his bow and arrows, Ice join with his brothers to pick up their two last siblings.
They go to the back of the school. There is a small garden with lots of flowers.
" Hello, Hello everyone! Rimba is here! Today we gonna take a small walk in my garden ok?" A boy with dark green hair holding a phone, walking in the garden.
" Thorn!" Gempa called for his brother.
The boy startled. He turn off his phone and go to his brothers' place.
" You are filming for your channel again?" Taufan asked Thorn.
" Actually it's for my TikTok account, I'm trying out new platform!"
" That's cool! When I become an idol, I will film a video with you too!"
" You two need to stop with dreaming stuff and start to focus on studying for the upcoming test." A boy with glasses is standing at the school gate.
" Solar? I thought you have gone home?"
" I stayed at the library for some research..." Solar replied.
The group of 7 brothers go home together.

" Dinner is ready, boys!" An old man said loudly.
7 teenagers all surround the table to help their grandpa with serving the meal.
" Where is dad?" Thorn asked his grandpa.
" He left this morning, you know, bussiness stuff with some cilents" Tok Aba replied.
" Again?" Solar asked annoyingly.
" C'mon Sol, he has a lots of work to do to raising us... cut him some slack" Gempa tried to comfort him.
" Are you saying we are burdens?" Solar asked angrily.
" No that's not what I mean.."
" Sheesh, Yeah right.."
" Hey can you at least be grateful?" Blaze scold.
" Yeah! I'm being very grateful right now-" Solar said sarcastically.
" Enough! Stop arguing! Can we have a nice dinner for ONCE?!" Hali raised his voice.
" I don't think we can, Hali , I will clean up my own, Tok" Solar said harshly before stand up with his plate and left the dinning room.
" That little brat! What's his deal" Blaze growled.
" Enough, Blaze, let's just- let's just forget and eat" Hali said.
The dinner went silent, everyone can feel the tension in the room. After cleaning up the table, it's Hali's turn to wash the dishes.
" Don't be too harsh on yourself" Gempa said bringing more dirty plates.
" I'm not... It's just- after-" He stopped
" -After that happened, we seems to be more distant, we always fight and fight. And tok always has to see it, it's tiring..." Hali sighed.
He feel a pat on his shoulder.
" I know things are not as it used to be, but whatever gonna happen, we always got each other!" Gempa comforted Hali.
Hali turn away and continue with the dishes, Gempa understand that his elder brother needs some time alone, so he left the kitchen.
' Always got each other, huh...' Hali looked out of the window.

" I not gonna make it, guys!" Taufan hid his face away from his phone.
" C'mon they haven't even called" His friend try to calm him down.
" But what if I got rejected?"
" All you need to do is calm down and wait"
" Today is the result day, they gonna call any minute-"
Ringgg
" Wow speak of the devil-"
" HELLO?" Taufan said like screaming.
"..."
" Oh..."
"..."
".... oh, I see, thank you, sir..." Taufan hung up.
" Taufan...?"
" I was rejected, ehe" Taufan said with a soft smile.
" Oh, Taufan..."
" It's alright, don't be sad-"
" Sad? Me? I'm totally fine, not sad at all"
Taufan said with a brighter smile.
" Now you excuse me, I gonna go tell my brothers." Taufan left the room.

He did not pass...

He has failed...

He don't know where he is going..

" Hello, Hello, everyone, it's Rimba here- Taufan!?" A surprised voice startled Taufan.
" What are you doing here?" Thorn asked curiously.
He is in Thorn's garden.
" Oh hi Thorn, just walking by... and..."
" Taufan?"
He has failed, again. It's hurt.
" I failed..." He said softly.
" Oh..."
Thorn come closer and hug him. It's feel familar, like... like...he is in his arms. And before he knew it, Taufan start to sob in Thorn's arms.
" I f.. failed.. again.." He sobbing harder.
" There, there, it's alright..."
There is someone watching them, right at the corner of the building.
" You have to buy a new phone just to do that?" A boy in glasses asked the one in the shade.
" I can't use my phone, Solar, he will know, I thought you are smart..."
" I don't get it, what's your point of doing this, Hali?"
" There are plenty of way to live, why does he have to be an idol?"
" That's his dream you know?"
" Dream? He can get himself killed... I don't want that to repeat..."
"... sheesh..."
" At all cost, I have to protect him"
" What a brocon...."

" There is this school at the big city, it's a school that trained young talented stars"
" And you want to join that school?"
" Yes! If I'm in then my idol career can start growing!" Taufan explained.
" You don't have an idol career to begin with-"
" That's fine! Because in big city, there are a lots of people looking for idols"
" You mean underground idol?" Ice asked.
" Yes!" Taufan exclaims.
" Absolute not! They are shady and untrustworthy!" Hali declined his brother's idea.
" In the school, there are a lots of idols, maybe their company can recruit me!"
" This is an insane idea, Taufan, think about it"
" But...." He looked around the living room.
Everyone seems to disagree with his idea. But then he caught sight of...
" Atok..."
"..."
" Please, this is my dream... please let me fullfill Boboiboy's last wish..."
" Taufan,... do you really want to go on this path?" His grandfather asked.
" With all my heart! I know there are many bad things with this career but, I will do it, for myself and for oBoi!" Taufan said determined.
His grandfather's expression soften.
He stand up and pat on Taufan's head.
" I know you can do it, Boboiboy is right about you, you are born for this... you can go..."
" Atok..." Taufan said happily.
" But... atok" Gempa said.
" He can't stay by himself in big city!"
" Then I will go with him..." Hali spoke up.
