Danger On The Track

Chapter 8

Starscream flew in his jet mode until he arrived at the outskirts of Kaon and saw the warehouse then landed and transformed to his bot mode and started looking around.

"Oh scrap how did the seeker find this place?" Ransack asked Overlord only to realize he was gone, and realized the other bot had abandoned him for some reason.

"I'll have to handle it myself then." Ransack thought out loud as he grabbed the same energon dagger he'd stabbed Knock Out with just a few minutes earlier, that still had the red spots car's energon on it, planning to sneak up on and kill the seeker.

Starscream continued to search the area looking for any sign of Knock Out or the other racers, when suddenly Blue Jay jumped out of his subspace and started looking towards the warehouse and growling.

"What's wrong Blue Jay?" Starscream asked the bumble puppy.

Then the seeker suddenly heard pedsteps and turned just in time to see Ransack who tried to stab him with an energon dagger that he just barely managed to dodge, And the two mechs were now locked in a struggle.

Ransack was still trying to stab Starscream who was holding the servo that was holding the energon dagger trying desperately to keep it away from him, While Blue Jay kept barking and growling like crazy as if cheering his master on.

Then Bumblebee, Smokescreen and Ratchet showed up with Prowl and the rest of the police who quickly put Ransack in stasis cuffs having followed the coronets Starscream sent them.

"Are you ok?" Bumblebee asked the seeker.

"Yeah but he was trying to stab me and he's behind the missing racers." Starscream explained to them all the information he had gotten from Swindle.

"Sideswipe called before we left to come here and said the missing racers showed up at the scrap yard after coming through a space bridge and they all told him Ransack was the one who kidnapped them and First Aid is sending them a space bridge to Cybertron as we speak." Bumblebee told them.

"But they said Knock Out never came through the space bridge before it closed." Bumblebee added.

"Where is he?!" Starscream hissed at Ransack. "Where's Knock Out?!"

"He's dying if not dead already." Ransack responded cruely. "I won't tell you and you'll never find him in time."

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!" Starscream shouted at the top of his voice box. "You tell us where he is if you want to keep your spark!"

Then Starscream started beating the scrap out of Ransack until Smokescreen had to step in and stop him before the seeker killed the other mech, Though Starscream had slashed out one of Ransack's optics.

Meanwhile at the bottom of the energon mine Knock Out regain consciousness but was to weak to move or even speak he felt pain through his entire body and could tell he was hurt badly, He was laying in a pool of his own energon severely damaged and broken, He somehow managed to let out a low moan.

Back outside the energon mine where the others had Ransack Blue Jay's ears shot up and the bumble puppy started sniffing around then ran to Starscream and barked then let out several wines then took off to an energon mine shaft and looked down it and wined again.

"What is it?" Asked Starscream but then he quickly put it together. "Guys I think he's done there."

"Knock Out!" The seeker called out hoping his friend would answer, And climbed down without even thinking.

The others ran to the opening of the energon mine and Smokescreen quickly made his way down after the seeker shining his headlights.

Once at the bottom they found their friend and were both horrified by what condition he was in, The Austin Martin was conscious but couldn't move or speak and was barely clinging to life, He could only stair at them weakly.

"Knock Out I'm so sorry we didn't find you sooner." Starscream said to his best friend fighting back coolant tears and trying to move him as little as possible afraid of adding to his injuries.

They quickly sent down paramedics who got Knock Out onto a stretcher and started transporting him to an open ground bridge to the hospital to spite his critical state Knock Out still managed to glare at Ransack who was being taken by the police still missing an optic.

Then Knock Out lost consciousness as soon as they entered the ground bridge.

At the hospital they rushed Knock Out to the operating room right away where Ratchet and the other medics got to work trying to save his life.

While everyone else stayed in the waiting room including the other racers Knock Out saved who had come through the space bridge and came straight to the hospital when they heard what happened to Knock Out.

A few hours later Ratchet came out and everyone rushed over to hear what he had to say worried about Knock Out.

"He going to survive though his servos and legs were in bad shape we managed to fix them so they should be good as new but his T-cog is in very bad shape we don't know if we'll be able to fix it or not." Ratchet explained sadly.

"He's in stasis right now to let his body recover we won't know if we can salvage his T-cog or not until morning, If he had been found just five minutes later he would be dead right now." Ratchet finished.

"If his T-cog can't be fixed he can have mine." Starscream volunteered much to everyone's surprise.

"But Starscream are you sure, You told us that when you lost your T-cog during the war it almost drove you insane and seekers don't usually last long if they can't fly." Smokescreen said to the seeker worried about what losing his T-cog a second time would do to him.

"I'm sure when I lost my transformation cog Knock Out was the one who did the surgery to restore it, And he loves his alt mode and racing as much as I do flying, So it's only right for me to return the favor, I'll be fine because this time it's my choice." The seeker assured him.

Then they all went home since nothing could be done until the next morning.

Starscream decided to take what might be his final flight before going home for the night.

He did several loops and stunts while letting Blue Jay ride in the cockpit and the bumble puppy was having a blast then after a few hours had passed Starscream landed and petted Blue Jay.

"You saved Knock Out's life today good boy." Starscream said as he continued to pet the bumble puppy. "I'm going to miss flying but I know how hard it is to not be able to transform and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, There's no way I'm letting my best friend go through what I did."

Then suddenly Blue Jay started growling and looking off into an alley, Then Overlord who had been following and keeping an optic on Starscream just waiting for the seeker to be alone approached them.

Blue Jay continued to bark and growl at him until Overlord kicked the bumble puppy aside knocking him out.

"Hey how dare you do that to my bumble puppy!" Starscream hissed at Overlord as he started attacking him, But none of the seekers hits even managed to phase him.

Then Overlord grab Starscream by the neckcables and slammed him head first into the ground rendering the seeker unconscious.

"When you wake up I'll get you to tell me where Megatron is so I can defeat him and prove once and for all that I'm better than him." Overlord said to the unconscious seeker as he took him through a ground bridge.

Blue Jay woke up just in time to see his master being carried away and tried to run after them but was slowed down by an injured paw he received from being kicked and the ground bridge disappeared before he could follow.

Blue Jay wined with coolant tears forming in his optics before running off to look for help, while holding up his injured paw.
