I sat on my cell staring at the wall. Maraj came by earlier and made me get up to shower and eat. I got in the shower but I don't feel like eating.
I went to check if they had my meds and they did so I'm more calm now. But it's not the right dosage so I struggle sometimes with not getting mad.
The voices are gone until they come back.
It sounds weird but that's the best way I can explain it. They leave for the day and keep me up at night.
"Aye knowles" I heard making me look over to see Cindy.
"Judy said get yo ass up and come eat like she told you to" she said pointing at me.
"I ain't hungry" I mumbled rubbing my sore eye. "You need to stop fucking with it or it ain't gone neva heal" Cindy told me.
"But Ight imma tell Judy what you said. Don't be surprised when she come in this muthafucka and drag you out though" she said putting up the duces and walking out.
I shrugged laying down fully in the bed. I turned towards the wall putting the cover fully over me and falling back asleep.

"Wake up inmate !" I heard along with loud banging on the cell bars making me groan.
I peeled my eyes open and huffed pulling the cover off my head. I seen Mendez there and mugged him.
"You got a new job assignment" he smiled at me.
"I don't care" I said dryly.
"GET UP !" He yelled. I smacked my lips getting out the bed. "Let's go" he said and I walked out the cell following being him.
He took me to the cafeteria and I looked at him weirdly. "I thought you said I have a new assignment"
"You do.. Kitchen"
Great.
"I can't cook. At all" I said "Then wash the dishes"
"I don't wash dishes."
"You do whatever the hell I tell you to do" he said snatching me up. "Unless you wanna go back to the shu and rot for the rest of your sentence.. what is it again ?" He finished with a smirk.
I felt tears sting my eyes but I wouldn't allow myself to cry. "let me go" I whispered.
He raised a eyebrow "or what ?"
"What are you doing ?" I heard Maraj voice making me sigh in relief.
We both looked over to see her with a mug "This inmate got out of place" Mendez said letting me go.
"Yea the co did too" she said walking up to him.
She grabbed his uniform shirt snatching him down to her height which was very short compared to him. "You harming inmates Mendez ?"
"No ma'am just giving her, her new assignment" he said. "I bet not see you have another inmate in your hands or you're out of here" she warned before pushing him back.
"I'll handle the rest. You're dismissed" she said waving him off.
He looked over at me with a mug before walking out. "Newbie you got kitchen duty" said said walking up to me.
When she got close her face softened "are you ok ?" She asked lowly.
"yea" I whispered wiping my eyes. "Tell the truth"
"I don't wanna talk about it.. Do I have to work in here ?" I frowned "I can't even cook"
"You was assigned to it so yes. You can request a deferent one but you most likely won't get it" she said making me sigh.
