Florence's POV
After rushing to the airport, I realize that there is an 8 hour snow delay on my flight back home.
"This is absolute bullshit," I mutter to myself, or so I thought.
"You could say that again," I hear a familiar voice say from behind me.
I turn around and see Cam Talbot. The one and only.
I was absolutely speechless. I have no idea what to say.
"I guess I should introduce myself, we're gonna be here for a while. I'm Cam," he says, putting his hand out.
"I guess you're right. I'm Florence," I say, shaking his hand.
"I would ask if you're waiting on the same delay I am but that's kinda a stupid question," he says, chuckling.
"That's true. I hate to ask but do you think you could sign something for me? I'm a huge fan," I ask him.
"Of course! It's not often that I'm asked to sign things for fans." He says, gratefully.
I take out my brother's Christmas gift, an Alabama-Hunstville Chargers jersey, with Talbot across the back.
"I haven't seen one of these jerseys in a long time, where'd you find this?" He says, astounded that I had one.
"I found it online for my younger brother, you're literally his idol, if that doesn't sound weird. Like he styles his way of playing after your's," I explain.
"I didn't think they even had any of these left anywhere. I'm honored that your brother models his style of play after mine, I didn't think I was worthy of something like that," he says, sounding absolutely dumbfounded.
"You are really his idol, growing up in the same hometown and everything, it's hard to not know who you are." I explain.
"You're from Caledonia too?" He asks, to clarify.
I nod.
"You seem like an interesting girl. Would you like to go grab something to eat?" He asks me.
I accept his offer and we head over to the food court area.
The next few hours are going to be awesome.
