Cam's POV

I must have dozed off while thinking about Florence. I figure this because I am brought back into reality by her saying that we have less than 2 hours left on our delay.

"Cammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm." She strings out my name.

"Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh?" I string this out too.

"Can we get something to drink? I'm dying." She says, almost child-like.

I nod and stand up, extending my hand to her, offering help up. She takes my hand and I carefully pull her up off the ground. We start walking in the direction of a Starbucks.

We order our drinks, which she pays for (bearing protest from me) and we take our drinks and walk back to 'our spot'.

We make small talk about whatever we want, childhood to music to what we grew up on/with and everything. She's really interesting. She comes from a really spilt background, meaning her parents were so completely different but loved each other anyway and that's beautiful in my opinion.

She told me that she never believed in love growing up and was only starting to believe in it recently, which I find interesting.

Could I help her believe in love? Am I the reason? No, I can't be. There must be someone else.

"This may sound weird but do you have eyes on someone? Like- I mean- er--" I try to mumble out.

"What do you mean Talbot? Are you asking if I'm single?" She asks, cutting me off. I nod in response to her completion of my question.

"I'm single and yes I do have eyes for someone. You know them extremely well." She informs me, leaving me partially clueless, with eyes locked on mine.

I know them extremely well. Chris? It couldn't be me. But I do have feelings for her so I'm not sure how to answer.

"I'm gonna go out on a whim here and say....me?" I say, sounding more as a question than anything. She nods at this.

"I'm sorry, you're just a very sincere guy and I----" I cut her off by kissing her.

If I tell you that I planned on doing that, that would be a lie because I did that in the spur of the moment. But I didn't regret it one bit.

She kisses back after being somewhat surprised by my sudden burst of courage. She runs her hands through my hair as I pull her closer to me.

We are cut short by the first boarding call for our flight. We pull apart and grab our bags and walk to the gate.

"What kind of ticket do you have?" I ask her, wondering if we were going to be split up.

She shows me her ticket, first class. I take a quick glance at mine to see the same thing. Our seats are also, coincidentally, together.

"I guess fate is really wanting this to happen, am I right?" I ask her, pointing out the seating. She laughs and nods.

I grab her free hand with my own as we put our bags into baggage. Or whatever that's called.

We step onboard the plane and find our seats. I make sure that I still have my ticket because I'm going to want to keep this for sentimental value, which I still have in my pocket.

I realize that Florence is still wearing my sweater. God, she looks adorable in my sweater. It's massive on her so it looks like she is being swallowed up by the fabric.

"What are you staring at, hotshot?" She asks me, noticing that I was staring at her.

Should I tell her?

I'm gonna tell her.

"I was staring at you, Florence. You're beautiful. When I first saw you, something pulled me toward you and I can't really explain what it was. I'm not a believer in love-at-first-sight but if there is any proof that exists, I'm pretty sure this is it. I know I've only known you for 8 hours, I was wondering if you would let me take you out to dinner once we both get back home. I want to make something somewhat official between us." I tell her, personally surprised at how well I worded it.

"Of course. I know how you feel exactly. I don't know if there was anything that would have made that delay tolerable if I weren't hanging out with you, getting to know someone that I love." She adds, visibly blurting out the last part. I notice that she is uncomfortable so I lean in and kiss her, showing her that it is okay.

"If it doesn't make you feel awkward or anything, I love you too." I tell her, looking into her eyes.

We are cut off again by the announcement to put our seat belts on, as we were taking off.

I grab her hand after securing mine. I have always hated taking off and landing in planes.

She squeezes my hand a little bit, wordlessly telling me everything will be alright.

She rests her head on my shoulder as soon as we began smooth sailing (flying?). She closes her eyes and dozes off.

I kiss her on the top of her head before resting my head on hers. I feel myself begin to doze as well, which I give into.
