I was devastated.

-WHY?!

-He didn't say. Anything. Not a word. He looked like was in a trance, so I went to get some water from him, and by the time I came back, he stabbed himself with a knife.

-What happened then?

-The last time I saw him, he was being tied down by Professor Gondall. I had to leave, because of the...you know. But I'm planning to visit him later.

With presents in hand, I sat down next to him. The coolness of the floor never felt so good before. What was happening to him? I leaned over to Kage, and he embraced me. I was sad and confused, Kage grabbed me by my arm, and led me to the back of the library, but he stopped in his tracks.

-What's wrong? - I asked.

-I smell blood. It's very faint, but I smell it.

We followed his nose, until we stopped in front of the "NO ACCESS" sign. The smell came from the Rare Books section. We spotted Matilda, the librarian nearby, checking some books.

-We will be caught. - he said.

-I have an idea.

I decided to "summon" Fuffy to the library. How? Elaina's brush was a lifesaver. I took it out, and I played a specific tune that Fuffy loved to listen to. It didn't take many tries and the rabbit popped out of thin air right in front of me.

-How did he do that? - asked Kage.

-Tammers can teleport to their owners, no matter the distance. I guess you don't remember that from class.

-It must have slipped my mind.

I carefully explained Fuffy what the problem is. I don't think he understood me, but the job was done, in a very efficient way. If we didn't have to hurry, I would have watched as Matilda chased him around the library, knocking over smaller shelves.

Kage jumped over the "NO ACCESS" sign, and I followed him too. Kage sniffed the air a few times before we found the source. This was written over multiple books:

"I am very pleased, thank you"

What kind of person are we dealing with? Kills people nearly every midnight, and leaves messages on walls painted with their own blood? Who does that?

I felt footsteps rushing towards us, and because we won't learn more today, we left with the determination to save Calum. As we were rushing by, I spotted a book, it was almost calling me. "Book of nearly all the answers".

I grabbed it. It would be a shame to leave it there, wouldn't it? It was quite heavy, around four hundred pages, but I wouldn't have left it there for the world. I looked back, just to see Fuffy chasing after me. Oh, you silly rabbit!

We didn't get caught, but it got close as it got. I had heavy breathing, and my heart was racing.

-What's that? - asked Kage pointing at the book, so I showed him the title, when we were in the courtyard.

-I can't read it. It's in a different language.

-Oh, I didn't see that it was in dragon language. Sorry. It says "Book of nearly all the answers".

-Hat kind of title is that?

I didn't answer, I just opened it. And when I did, I was shocked.

-It's empty. There isn't a single letter written on it.

No matter which page we looked at, we didn't find anything. The book was empty.

-Well, we won't get many answers out of this one.

-Why was it even there?

We came to the conclusion that it must have been a replacement of the original book, that it must have been stolen, and only the cover was mimicked. We didn't talk about the message in the end, which neither of us minded, and we decided to call it a day.

I was already in my pyjamas when Elaina said that we have been ordered to sleep in the Grand Hall. I nearly dropped Fuffy, who I was rewarding for his good mischief.

-Why? - asked Rita.

-Pass.

A massive queue of girls lined up in front of the Grand Hall. All of us were in pyjamas, a pair of slippers, holding a pillow and a blanket. Only I made a difference, with one winged rabbit clinging onto me. I didn't even try to hold back my surprise, when I saw ALL the boys heading our ways. They were dressed up as much as we were. Kage approached me, who looked very surprised.

-What's going on? - he asked.

-We just got here. Is someone missing from your ranks? - I asked.

-No. You?

-We are on full house.

That relieved us a bit, but the next worry was how to deal with the fact that boys will sleep with girls. Because when I entered the Grand Hall, all I saw was mattresses laid down in lines.

-Apparently we are sleeping together. - This was my answer to his first question.

I was sandwiched between Rita and Elaina. I couldn't sleep at all. And the fact that I heard professors murmuring as they walked past, didn't help either. I closed my eyes and I heard somebody stopping in front of my pillow. I recognised the voice of my alchemy teacher, Regina Milese and my vegetation teacher's Gordon Remort.

-What a terrible incident. -said Regina.

-I agree. That message was quite disturbing.

So they found the message too! That's the reason why we are sleeping here? A sudden chill ran down my spine, and I heard the rain through the window. I couldn't see through it, because the fog was so thick that it blocked the view from everything. Fuffy hid inside my T-shirt, and I felt him tremble. I whispered to him, and I slowly fell asleep.

For the first time in my life, I was awakened by Professor Blockheart, and I'm hoping it was also the last time. It was also the first time that I had breakfast while wearing pyjamas in the Grand Hall. Since everybody was already there, we went through breakfast before going back to the dorms. It was very funny, seeing people dressed in colourful clothes. I was holding my blanket and pillow, while chatting with Rita and Elaina on the way back. Fuffy was flying around us.

-You guys are never gonna guess what I heard last night.

-So, what was it? - bit Elaina the bait.

-Apparently they found a message written in the library.

-Really? What was it?

-That, I don't know, but a girl who was supposedly "sleeping" overheard a conversation between teachers. Apparently, the murderer might be in the castle.

-He came back? - I asked.

-No. He never left.
