Today was the day Resus was finally gonna do it.

He was going to come out to his friends and parents today, and he was quivering in his coffin as he procrastinated doing it

What would they think of him? The only people he's ever told are Lulu, his pet leech, Dig -the half dog half skeleton-, and also Doug whilst they were ripping a fat joint together (He's also told Dixon, but he fucking sucks and he didn't mean to anyway).

But that's all behind him now, as this Friday would be the one he tells the world of his deepest, darkest, grimiest secret.

The door to his coffin creeks slightly as he leaves it for the first time all day, proceeding to step out boldly and walk out of his room.

He knew exactly who he was going to tell first. Telling his parents or his best friends immediately seems like a big step, so he's going to work himself up to it by letting Luella know before anyone else.

Even if she isn't in his main friend group with Luke and Cleo, she's still a very good buddy of his, and he's sure she'd accept him for who he is, right?

But he's done enough thinking about this kind of thing for today, so he rushes to Luella and her aunt's house and takes a few deep breaths quickly before working up the courage to knock on the door.

"Resus my beloved." Luella whispered to the one creepy stalker picture she took of him and has nailed to her pinboard, continuing to chant "Oh my sweet little angel of death..." repeatedly as if it was a spell or mantra. She has a small snippet of a mouldy jumper that she never washed after he touched it hung over her mirror, and along with that, his water bottle that he lost back in year 4 is sat on her desk.

A knock. She looks out her window and spots Resus twiddling his thumbs at the front door, rushing down the stairs squealing and giggling to herself.

'This is it! He's going to confess his love to me and when we grow up we're going to, like, get married and have a beautiful family together!', she daydreams, before opening the door.

She stares into his golden eyes and sighs dreamily, noticing a hint of nervousness in his expression, but instead of finding it concerning she decides it's more endearing than anything else.

"Hey Luella! Look... I need to tell you-." He couldn't finish his sentence, already being interrupted by Luella taking his hand in hers and entwining their fingers as she giggled and stared at him fondly.

"Oh my god... You love me! And like, I do too! I knew it was, like, totally unrequited pining and stuff! Let's get married! And have goth babies! And-"

"Luella! Listen to me... I'm not interested in you. The reason I came here in the first place is because I needed to tell you I... I'm gay..."

The second she hears that word she turns pale as a poltergeist. Her eyes widen, and then she smiles at him. Mouthing an 'oh, okay' silently, too mortified to even speak. That feeling of welling up tears immediately hitting her as she closes the door, then begin to bawl her eyes out, praying she drowns in her own tears before she ever has to face him again.

Once the door is shut, Resus immediately treks away from the witch's house. That went well! I mean, even if it was kinda awkward since she thought it was a confession, she didn't cuss him out with anti-gay terms or anything like that? Yeah.

He cuts that train of thought off once he realizes how nonsensical his mumbling must sound, and instead focuses on what's ahead...

He stops in front of a small pyramid, so well crafted it looks like it came straight out of the Egyptian desert, and bounces on his heels a little to make himself a little more energized.

The next person he wanted to come out to... Was Cleo Farr.
