I turned around, and just ten yards behind me was a huge black cobra about the size of a car, it had bright glowing orange spikes along its back. From far behind me I heard the old man yell, "Don't look it in the eyes you'll be turned into ash instantly! I'll distract it and when I say go run like you've never run before." I nodded to shocked to do much else. Behind me I heard him muttering, I then heard a loud chirping sound coming from all around me. Suddenly the snake stopped advancing like it smelled danger in the air. I saw grass hoppers coming at the cobra from all directions and in seconds they were upon it. Go the old man yelled and without thought I ran, but I happened to crane my neck back and saw as the snake shook the grass hoppers from its back sending tremors through the ground and it continued advancing towards the old man. I turned around and didn't look back this time.

I awoke all of a sudden in a cold sweat, thinking of how the old man had later appeared to me, a block down the street. We must hurry! Into the portal! He rushed past me and knelt down by a near-by sewer cover, he mutter something and the cover suddenly came off in his hands. Come boy! He said, we are almost to the place of endless worlds! No! I remember saying, I need to stay here so my parents don't worry. Foolish boy! The man then went up to me and literally me picked up, off my feet and slung me across his shoulder screaming my head off.

I shook myself out of my strange thoughts, and decided to take a walk down the hall to clear my head. I wandered down the hall, trying to think of an escape plan before Emily and the others woke up. We could just go out the elevator, to the Library of worlds, through the almost endless tunnel, and into the cavern where I started out from. The problem with that was I had no clue what to do from there, because when I was down in the cavern it looked like the only way out was through the doors into the almost endless tunnel. Believe me I looked everywhere for the ladder rungs and the manhole cover the old man had dragged me down, but I couldn't find them it was almost as if they had disappeared completely into thin air. There was also the problem of the Lady in White, who knows, all the powers she has. For all I knew right then she was watching me and who knows how often she patrols The Library. So that Idea was a definite no, but that was all I could come up with.

I suddenly lost my footing and tumbled down what I assumed were stairs into a dark room that I could literally feel the huge empty space around me. My whole body hurt and I knew that by tomorrow I would be covered in even more bumps and bruises, then I already was. But other then that I seemed to be okay.

As I tried to stand up from my awkward position on the floor, all of a sudden the lights came on and in front of me was a huge room about the size of two school cafeterias, with a wooden floor and white walls, with huge silver chandeliers hanging from the wood ceiling. On my left it looked like a bunch of little munchkin men were setting up a serving line and tables. They were all about three feet tall and had squarish heads. Then I saw him the old man who had dragged me down here, in bell bottoms and a captains shirt. He seemed to be the one in charge as he stood there watching them and every once in a while he would bark out an order in some other language.

As I thought of how he dragged me from my home anger boiled up inside of me. He turned around and saw me, his eyes got huge and he began to run. I ran after him my only thoughts being those of revenge and how much fun it would be to pin him to a wall and scare the heeby-jeebys out of him. I caught up with him in a couple of bounds and pinned him to the wall, I realised in that moment that this was my ticket out of here. All I had to do was scare the info out of him.

I looked at the old man hanging from my grip and it was at that moment that my rational mind caught up with my anger and I realised what I was doing. I dropped him and I could feel my cheeks redden in embarrassment. I hated it when my anger got the best of me, you can't imagine how much trouble it had gotten me into. He landed in a heap, but quickly picked himself up and was about to go back to what he was doing.

"Oh no you don't I said getting in his way, just because I've decided to be nice doesn't mean you get to walk away without me speaking to you first. First off I'm sorry for being so mean."

" It's okay he said, but you've wrinkled my uniform and these were the best pants in my wardrobe. Now look at them! You've put a bunch of wrinkles in them! What am I supposed to do now? Wrinkled pants are so embarrassing," he said his ranting calming down into a wine.

Man this guy was a weirdo, I cleared my throat and decided to ignore his ranting."Second ,I said, I would like to know the name of the person that kidnapped me."

He looked up at me his bushy white eyebrows scrunched together, "my name is Albert and I didn't kidnap you I saved you from the black things you should be grateful."

"Why would I be grateful to the person who ruined my life and took my family and the few friends I had away from me?"

"Whatever boy you may think what you want, just remember it is here you will find your destiny, the meaning of your life, that is what most humans wish to find is it not?"

He walked away and I was too shocked to stop him. I went up to a munchkin that was putting up a table and said," What are you munchkins..."

"We are not munchkins! he said looking at me like I was some idiot. We call ourselves Nobbisians (Nobe-i-see-an-s)."

... Doing.

Oh you want to know what we're doing do you? We're setting up the dining hall so you lot can have some breakfast, here they come now. He walked away with his snooty little nose stuck in the air. Slowly one by one everyone came into the dining hall, Their robes still on and bed head sticking up all over their heads.

Before I knew what was happening, I was laying on the floor staring up at Emily's grinning face. Ha! I snuck up on you and you didn't hear me neener neener neener. She got up and held her hand out to me grinning like a maniac. Ignoring her outstretched hand, I got up. Everyone was staring at us I could feel my face reddening under there stares. I turned around and glared at her, but before I could do anything about it Albert got up on a table. Okay you love birds go sit down so I can tell you all whats going on, without your big red face getting in the way.

The kids around me snickered, this reminded me way to much of school. I wasn't exactly bullied at my school really it was more like I was invisible and the only time they could see me was when I was making a fool of myself. He glared at me his bushy eyebrows all scrunched together, their was something  in his eyes that told me if I didn't sit down he would make me and that was one thing I most definitely did not want. I walked over to the nearest empty table and sat laying my head on the cold surface of the table, trying to hide from the world.
