Chapter 25(Continued): Bridges of Understanding

The realization dawned upon Prince Izuku , a complex mix of emotions playing across his features. Astonishment, relief, and perhaps a hint of happiness colored his expression. Katsuki's revelation had untangled a knot of confusion within him.

"I had no interest in women," Izuku confessed, a rare vulnerability in his voice. "My mother's insistence on choosing a wife for me felt like an unwelcome burden. But to discover that you're not a woman, but a man... It's unexpected, yet strangely relieving."

Katsuki, still standing in the simplicity of his true self, observed the genuine shift in Izuku's demeanor. The prince's gaze lingered on Katsuki, and for the first time, there was a warmth in his eyes.

"Looks truly can be deceiving," Izuku mused, a small smile playing on his lips. "You're not what I expected, but that doesn't make you any less intriguing."

Katsuki nodded, appreciating the sincerity in Izuku's words. "I've always been true to myself, Izuku. I never intended to deceive you, only to be true to who I am."

Izuku took a step forward, a newfound understanding bridging the gap between them. "I owe you an apology, Katsuki. I treated you poorly, fueled by my own frustration with the situation. Can you forgive me?"

Katsuki considered the prince's words, his pride momentarily overshadowed by the sincerity in Izuku's apology. "Actions speak louder than words, Izuku. If you're truly sorry, show it through your future actions."

"I will," Izuku vowed, determination in his eyes. "Let's start anew, without the burdens of expectations. I want to know more about the person you are, beyond the titles and roles."

Katsuki felt a weight lift from his shoulders as the tension dissolved. The path ahead was uncertain, but a newfound understanding had paved the way for a different connection between Prince Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki. As they embarked on this journey of self-discovery and acceptance, the future held the promise of a genuine connection, unburdened by societal norms and expectations.
