🌛CHAPTER 4🌜
*Elina's POV*
When I woke up, the rain had me jump out of bed in excitement, for once I actually felt comfortable and relaxed, Bella on the other hand hates this kind of weather. When we were done and ready, we headed out, just as dad drove Bella's truck into the driveway.
Bella being the clumsy person she is, slipped and fell, making me snicker at her for falling on her butt.
"You all right?" Dad asks, going towards her, helping her up, and giving me a disapproving look.
"Yeah, I'm good. Ice doesn't really help the uncoordinated." Bella says, walking towards her truck, as I made my way towards my Camaro, which Uncle Billy had delivered for me last week.
"Yeah. That's why I had some new tires put on the truck. Old ones were getting pretty bald." Dad tells her, as his attention went on both of us as he says, "Well, probably be late for dinner. I gotta head down to Mason County. Security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal."
"An animal?" Bella asks curiously, as dad was making his way towards his cruiser.
"Bells, we aren't in Phoenix anymore." I say, as dad nod his head in agreement. "Anyway, I figured I'd lend a hand." Dad says.
"Be careful, dad." I tell him, even though it's an animal, they can still be dangerous and deadly.
"Always am." He says.
I got in my car, and started driving towards school on these wet and slippery roads, which could cause an accident if you aren't careful.
When I arrived at school I was on my way to history, when Eric walked up to me, wanting to escort me towards class. "Prom Committee is a chick thing, but I gotta cover it for the paper anyway, and they need a guy to help choose the music, so I need your play list. Also, I was wondering, did you have a date to..." He says, as I cut him off.
"Eric I'm gonna stop you there, I don't mind giving you one of my playlists for prom, but I won't be attending the dreadful event." I say, which had him staring at me in confusion.
"Why won't you be coming to prom?" Eric asks.
"Because, I believe it to be a waste of my time, I could be doing something even more important than going to prom." I say, entering my history I found Jasper already staring at me. I took my seat and got my books out, waiting for the teacher to arrive.
"You know if you take a picture, it might last longer." I spoke up, deciding to get to the bottom of this.
"A picture wouldn't be as beautiful as the real thing." Jasper says with his southern accent, now I'm not really one to fawn over an accent, but his had my leg feeling like jello. I turned towards him, to actually look at him.
"I am curious though, why do you keep staring at me?" I ask, for a second he seems to hesitate to answer the question.
"Your presence has a very calming affect on me, which is unusual, because I never am comfortable around other humans, it's very conflicting." Jasper tells me, in some line of light it made sense, in another it didn't make sense at all.
The teacher finally arrived he started where he left off in our last class, of the civil war, which I wasn't paying attention too, I was staring out the window, watching the rain.
"Do you like the rain?" Jasper ask, making me look at him.
"So we're talking about the weather now? But yes I love the rain, the cold weather in general just makes me feel at peace, living in Phoenix was torture, it was never cold there." I told him, taking notes from the lecture not to get into trouble.
