Am I staring for too long?

Oh god, that's so rude of you Izzy. I scolded myself internally as a boy came up to us holding a bottle of some 'JACK DANIEL'S?'

Whatever that is.

The boy looked about my age, wearing a polo shirt, of a specific cyan shade. He had golden brown hair, reminding me of a dog. His figure was not muscular but lean.

He had a pair of warm brown eyes, and freckles all over his cheekbones.

So cute. I thought admiringly.

My eyes flickered to the name tag on his shirt.

Jai.

He asked the man sitting beside me for some drink, bowing a little before pouring some.

Just from seeing the bottle I could tell it's strong.

Wait a minute.

The guy beside me?

He must have a name, he should, but I can't ask him right now. Well, in that case, I just have to make up one by myself. I grin at the thought.

Must think of a good one then.

Noname? Because I don't know his name. No

Veiny? Because of all his veins. No

Bubbles? Because he is in his own bubble. Yup

Bubbles it is.

"May I help with some ma'am?", Jai asked me politely, making me conscious of my surroundings.

"Sure", I say with a small smile on my face.

"Clean? ", he asks. Clean what? Sure I don't want mine dusty.

"Clean.", i say, nodding.

The boy nods before almost jogging off to the people a few seats next to us, asking for a fill.

Bubbles drinks his drink down in just one flow. Oh.

It isn't strong then, that's the only thought I got before proceeding to drink down mine in just one flow too. That was surely not a good decision.

Because my throat feels like it is on fire and my tongue feels like a sandpaper, it's so bitter too. Why do people even like this stuff?

I make weird faces, while rubbing my throat, trying to cool down the burning sensation. I could feel my eyes tearing up. I'm so not drinking again. This one was so much more bitter than the one I had with Cassie.

As I continue to regret my choice of drinking whatever that was, I could feel a pair of eyes burning at the side of my head.

I place a hand over my head while turning my head to see Bubbles staring at me.

He turns his face away in the opposite direction, hiding his face, almost as if he's trying to resist back a laugh. Ok that's progress,I think.

"How do you even do that? ", I ask out of curiosity. He drank it like it was water, giving out no expression at all. Am I too sensitive or what? My throat still had that burning sensation and my mouth felt dry.

Bubbles turned his face to look at me as his face gave out no expression at all. It seems like he's in his own little world and in a void tube where he talks to himself, not caring for others.

"What? ", he replies blankly in a hoarse voice, his voice was deep, like the ocean waves, like the dry sands on the beach, like he just woke up from a nap. I would be lying if I didn't feel my thighs clench. I'm such a whore.

"That", i say pointing my finger at the empty glass in his hand. He shrugs softly before placing the glass on the marble counter in front of us.

" It was not my first", he says blankly, completely showing that he's not even interested an ounce in this conversation. Well shit. I am just staring at nothing in particular, my head bowed.

"What do you want? ", he deadpans, a slight annoyance in his voice.

I lift my head up to see that he's talking to me. Well duh. That was extremely rude of him though. Here I'm being all quiet and calm and pulling a sweet girlie act when he's just..... Annoyed? Asshole.

" What do you mean? ", I ask softly, trying not to lose my cool. When truly I'm so angry right now. Why am I even doing this? Cassie should have at least chosen someone more kinder not this thing.

" I can tell you are neither one of those bar chicks who will throw themselves over men just to crawl into their pockets, nor a girl who would want to give me a lap dance and wearing clothes like a paper sheet. So just get this straight. What do you want? ", he rambles off, saying one thing after another,as he slowly leans in towards me.

I just sat there, my nails digging into my thighs to prevent them from slapping his handsome face and my teeth clenching my lower lip to avoid me from fixing his rude ass.

His eyes moved from mine to my lips, before flickering back to mine. It was just for a second, and I would believe that I just imagined that.

He straightened his back, moving his body away from mine, his hands clenched. Oh.

I don't mind that and instead try to find the appropriate words to just ends things fast and go back to Cassie. I can't just tell him I came here for a dare and want him to dance with me, he will surely think I'm a weirdo then.

"Umm.. ", I say as he turns his attention back towards me, waiting for my answer. A scowl on his face. Let's just say it now Iz.

"Would you like a dance? ", I blurt out, not once thinking if I should stretch it more or not. Now I have really done it. Great. That definitely came out weird.

He stares at me for a few seconds before opening his mouth,

Please say yes,

Just a yes

Even a maybe will work

Pleaseeeee....

"No". Great.
