Opening my eyes, I saw I was in an unknown palace. My head was spinning still but it was apparent I was lost.
Standing up off of the floor I noticed the tile was speckled with gold flicks on its stony background. The palace had columns as tall as buildings and the room was vast, it could fit my house in this whole room.
Deciding to explore I was beginning to stroll. Touching what I could. The silky curtains, soft plants, the fancy furniture. Was I in a fairytale? Was I dead?
Stepping in front of a mirror I saw something strange. There I was but I was dressed like a princess. A white pillowy gown with Juliette sleeves, a fancy silver tiara with a radiant multicolored gem in the middle of my forehead, and my eyes were what struck me most, they were not brown like night, they were ruby red.
Stepping away from the mirror I knew I had to find out what was going on.
Walking to the end of the picturesque hall, I saw paintings, paintings of a large family with people of white hair and red eyes. They looked incredibly royal. Their skin was pale as porcelain, their hair white as the moon, lips rosy red, and eyes red almost as if glowing, Touching the painting another second longer, I heard the door slam open. Turning in horror I saw no one at the open doors, but a force compelled me to follow the doors out.
Stepping cautiously and slowly with heels that make my mom's Gucci heels look like Goodwill trash, I walked down the hall in the big empty palace. I saw signs of life with fresh flowers, and well-maintained walls, and the curtains looked well-dusted but shut. Running my fingers along the fabric I touched the cloth and played with it for a moment before freezing because I finally saw someone.
At the end stood a man, he was no normal guy but he looked like he needed to get a bit of sunshine. Stepping close I said,
"Hello?"
Turning, the man revealed was so beautiful. Tall and slim with muscles that were hidden under his clothing. He had silken white hair vibrant as the moon, tied in a ribbon that shined like the stars. perfectly neat clothing that was outdated by a couple of centuries, and he had incredible ruby eyes. The ruby eyes were stunning almost sirens. Stepping closer to me the man mused in a silky smooth voice,
"You must be the one I have been waiting for."
Blinking I stepped back and disgustedly said,
"Keep waiting, dude. Why would you say that to a kid when you look old af? What are you, pedophile? Anyways where am I?"
"You are in my humble abode. not much right? For someone with delicate looks, you have quite a sharp tongue."
Watching as he held a hand and gently lift my chin to face him, he offered a smile, a perfect pearly white smile, and mused,
"No, you seem to be mistaken. You. Are. The. One. Nellissa Faye, am I correct?"
Swallowing, I knew sarcasm would not get me out of this pickle, his touch was icy cold. His voice drove a shiver down my spine, and when he said my name. I felt a lump form in the back of my throat. Bile built up as the bitterness seeped into my tongue.
Watching him step closer I shut my eyes instinctively before opening one and watched as he smiled down at me in an unreadable expression. Was he looking at me as a person? Or as a toy?
He was now starting to piss me off not saying anything. He kept staring and I was losing my patience. Stepping back I immediately demanded,
"Who are you? Where am I? I can hold my own and I can kick your ass. Now tell me who are you."
The man just moved his hand to take mine and he brought it up to his lips. Giving the back of my hand a butterfly kiss, he said,
"I am someone you will rely on more, as your powers develop. I am your guide, your mentor, and the progenitor. I was bored here all alone, but you managed to spark my interest. I am lending you my incredible power."
"Power?"
Power. Power is meant to be given the ability to do stuff mainly but what can he do? What does he want?
Seeing my wary expression he stood up straight and explained,
"You are not a pureblood but you may have the power of one. You were artificially given my cells and now you and me are in a contract. How does that sound Nellissa?"
"A bunch of hooey."
Stopping in his place I immediately began glaring and said,
"This royal stuff is starting to not be cute. Now what do you mean?"
At first taken aback, he soon smiled and raised my hand, on it I saw a red dot slowly turn to lines and eventually a picture of a rose was revealed as it faded and he said,
"You will find out soon enough. Use my powers wisely Nellissa, and kill the harmful vampires in the world."
Feeling a thump as seeing red again I nodded instinctively and he moved back, holding out a hand and saying,
"Nellissa Faye, I send you back with my blood, use the powers for justice and give vampires a good name as a new generation is born."
"Wait! What is your name? What do you mean?"
Seeing a red circle form under me I felt a huge gust of wind begin to rush upward. Struggling to keep my feet on the ground I began floating, reaching down I yelled out,
"Wait your name! Your name tell me!"
Smirking the man looked on as I felt the wind cast me upwards, closing my eyes from the pressure, I suddenly woke up and saw.
I was in my bed again.
