Michael's POV
My alarm goes off, waking me up. Tonight was my show, so I had to get everything ready. I quickly ring Frank's number on my phone, and after a few rings, he answered.
"Hello, Frank speaking." Franks starts.
"Hello, Frank I've got everything ready for the show tonight, but I need to get some coffee first. I'll see you for practise in an hour." I say, looking at my watch, making sure I had the time right, I didn't like being late, I hated it.
"Okay Mike, see you soon!" Frank replies before hanging up. I grab my coat and head to my car that had my driver in waiting for me.
"Good Morning, Mr. Jackson." Ramesh smiles through the window as I get in the seat behind him.
"Ramesh, good morning to you as well. Just to let you know, I need to stop by the coffee shop downtown because I'm about to collapse to the ground if I don't get a coffee." As I rub my eyes gently, followed by a chuckle from Ramesh.
"Okay Mr. Jackson, to the coffee shop." As he starts the car up making our way down the road. Me and Ramesh are quite close, we do stay strictly professional when it comes to business, but outside of that we were like a couple of kids down at the playground. I even gave Ramesh's son a small toy, and ever since then, he hasn't let go of it. I adore children, and I long to have a few of my own someday.
After a little while, we arrived in front of my favourite coffee shop. I unbuckled my seatbelt and swung open the car door.
"Any requests, Ramesh?" I ask him, I bet you he'll go for a Pumpkin Spiced Latte.
"Get me a Pumpkin Spiced Latte, Mr. Jackson." Ramesh responds. Told you he would, didn't I? I exit the vehicle, close the door behind me, put my sunglasses on and enter.
The place was really quiet today. It's always busy, I mean there are a few people around but it's usually crowded. I walk up to the counter and tell the man what I want; he nods and gets to work on my order.
I take in my surroundings and pay attention to everything, that was until my eyes focus on an absolutely beautiful girl who seems to be a little bit younger than I am. the length of her hair, and the radiance of her skin. She was the exact definition of flawless.
"Excuse me, sir, your order is ready." As soon as I realised what I was doing, I quickly turned around to face the employee.
"I'm sorry, here you go." I apologise to him and then hand him the correct amount of change while maintaining a pleasant smile on my face.
"Have a great day, sir." I nod after his kind words and head over to sit down at a table, popped open both lids and added the sugar, stirring it up until the sugar had fully dissolved in both cups. I didn't have to wait very long after that before I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, which immediately made me look up.
"May I have a seat here?" The young lady inquired in a sweet and subdued manner. It turned out to be the young lady whose face I had been absentmindedly staring at for almost a full minute. In my opinion, I think she seems even more stunning up close.
"N-No, of course not, please do." I say, stammering at the start of my sentence. I didn't expect her to approach me,She now occupies the chair opposite me.
"I couldn't help but notice you staring at me a few minutes ago." I blush in slight embarrassment
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to stare." Shamefully, I say. But I couldn't help it—Jesus, where are my manners?
"Don't be, I think it's cute." She admits with a gorgeous smile that she wears so well.
"What's your name?" I question, a beautiful girl like her must have a beautiful name.
"(Y/N) and I know who you are, I'd be pretty stupid not to know who you are." She smiles, and I shake my head in amazement. She is aware of who I am, yet she never screamed or otherwise made an effort to draw attention to herself or me.
"And who am I?" I put her to the test to see whether she can actually tell who I am from my dark glasses. However, whether I'm out or attending award shows, I do wear a lot of eyewear.
"You are the one and only..." (Y/N) looks around and leans forward. "Michael Jackson." She lowers her voice when mentioning my name. She really is adorable.
"Well (Y/N) it's a pleasure to meet you." I hold out my hand for her to place hers in mine.
"Thank you, Michael, it's a pleasure to meet you too." (Y/N) puts her hand in mine while I lightly kiss the top of hers; at this time, her cheeks have gradually gone rosy pink.
"So, what brings you here? I've never seen you here before." Curiosity strikes me as I really want to know everything about her.
"I recently relocated to Los Angeles, so I don't really know much about it yet, but as I explore this gorgeous place, the more I fall in love with this city." She explains, I nod to agree with her statement.
"L.A. has a way of getting under your skin, and after you've been there for a while, you may find that you don't want to leave the city because you've been there for so long." She starts to smile as she nods her head in agreement. Despite the fact that Y/N is unaware that the sentence I made was made in regard to her, she is not a city though, I think you understand what I'm getting at. Do you find it really difficult to take me seriously? I mean, have just met this young lady, but I can't help but feel attracted to her despite the fact that we haven't spent much time together.
"I've heard that you have a concert scheduled for tonight." She gives me a glance, diverting the conversation to a new subject and takes another sip of her warm drink.
"I absolutely do, around 7 o'clock tonight, and it's going to be a wild one as well." I can't help but laugh at myself because not only does everyone in Los Angeles know my name, but also, to tell you the truth, my events have always been crazy..
"I bet you get a headache from all that screaming and shouting from fans." Y/N laughs slightly at the thought of what I may go through.
"Sometimes, but it's bearable."
"Do you have a girlfriend?" I looked at her for a moment, stumped for words because I didn't know what to say to her. That inquiry came a lot earlier than I had anticipated it would.
"I don't. I've always wanted to have someone who would go with me everywhere. Hopefully soon." I say looking at the floor.
"Well, I'm sure she'd accept, whoever she may be."
"I hope so too." I look back up at her slightly biting my lip. Out of nowhere, my driver entered the coffee shop and approached Y/N and I.
"Mr. Jackson, Frank called, he said that you need to see him as soon as possible. It's quite urgent." Ramesh urges me. I look over to Y/N and take a deep breath.
"Got any plans today, (Y/N)?" I asked politely. I hope she says no, I would love to spend some time with her.
"No, I'm free all day today as it goes." I close my eyes and imagine a celebratory victory dance in my head, this is my chance.
"Fancy spending your free day with me? Just talk, act crazy, watch me practise my performance and when it comes to my concert you can watch backstage if you like." I ask, hoping she'll take my offer.
"I'd love to! But after our day is through, could you please take me home?" She questions. What kind of gentleman doesn't take a lady friend home? Tell me that.
"I naturally had that in mind beforehand. Oh! Just to say, think of this as a first friendly date if you like, don't worry, I won't kiss you." I insisted with a sweet smile followed by a wink. She rolled her eyes playfully.
"Are you like this with all of the girls?" (Y/N) gently bites her lip. She's making me go crazy just doing that.
"Only the ones that have my attention." I cheekily grin at her. Y/N chuckles and shakes her head at the same time.
"Well, let's get going." (Y/N) jumps up and heads outside with us.
Who needs coffee to wake you up when love does that for you?
