Chapter 6

***BRENT'S POV***

Once I dropped Mia off, I was more confused than ever. Does she like me as a friend? Or more than a friend? Does she open up about her past to lots of people? Was today a good date?

"Hi mom, I'm back," I shouted when I got home.

"How'd it go?" she asked.

"Okay," I responded.

I ran up to my room because I was not in the mood to talk to anyone, but it's not like I'm ever in the mood.

Chris Collins, or Weeklychris, is my best friend. He doesn't go to Huntington Beach High because he's 19. I decided to call him to ask him for his opinion.

C: Hey bro whats up?

B: I have a crush on this girl I met at school, and-

C: Bro school started today...

B: Whatever, anyways, we hung out at starbucks today.

C: Nice.

B: She opened up to me about her past and we had only known each other or a few hours. But she kept on saying she just wants to be friends ad that it wasn't a date. Does that mean she doesn't like like me, or she just doesn't want to have a relationship?

C: Whoa calm down Brent. But I don't know man, maybe you should just straight up ask her.

B: I cant just got up to her and be like "HEY DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ME?"

W: *laughs* no, be subtle about it. Don't straight up ask her. Try saying something like, "hey, whatever her name is-"

B: Mia

W: Hey, Mia, DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ME?

B: Chris...I'm serious.

C: *chuckles* I know I'm sorry, but ask her out more. Get to know her better. You can't just ask someone this quick, Brent, even if it's subtle.

B: Alright, thanks. See ya!

C: see ya bro, good luck. I wanna meet this girl by the way.

B: Haha you will. Bye!

I hung up. Chris is very helpful, everyone calls him "Chris the therapist". I laid down on my bed, and soon I drifted off to sleep.

The next days of school went by alright. Most of the girls still fangirled over me, but some of them realized I am just a normal person. I hope that number will continue to grow. But the only thing that has kept me going is Mia. She makes me laugh; its impossible not to love her. I decided to ask her to be in a video with Chris and I.

"Hey Mia, wanna come to my house tomorrow to film a video with my best friend Chris?"

Tomorrow was friday.

"Sure!" she replied with interest.

"I can give you a ride straight to my house after school if you want."

"Yup! That sounds great! I just need to ask my mom."

I am still confused as ever. DOES SHE FRICKIN LIKE ME OR IS SHE JUST BEING NICE?!?1!?1!1!11!1?!
