"Have you found her?" Argon questions, his hands are busy untying the scarf binding Daya. He then rolls her body to face the ceiling before moving away from the bed.The silence from Enola is louder to him than a hundred words.
He eyes her sternly, demanding an explanation why the task is taking longer than it should.
"Incompetent!" Argon barks."My apologies My Lord. Your wif-" Enola's words vanish to the hand that suddenly grabs her throat. Like the wind, Argon had flashed from the bedside to Enola who was standing near the windows.
He applies a little pressure, just enough to deliver a message. And Enola wheezes, "I'm so...sor...sor...""Her name is Lilith. She's no longer my wife. She is a traitor!"
Enola can only shake her head, the hand is threatening her demon bone, the only weakness of her kind.
After half a minute, Argon releases the little demon. He takes a sharp intake of air to calm his rage. It's been way too long since Lilith stole his shield, leaving him vulnerable to his enemies. Without it, he can easily be harmed, or even...killed. Without it, his power decreases by the day, his white hair is evidence enough of how quickly he is withering away.
He gazes up, sees his own reflection on the full-length mirror that is always opposite Daya's bed. He looks like a ghost of his former self, pathetic!
"Lilith!" Argon hisses, his voice bleeding an intense kind of fury that can burn down a mansion. It's enough to crack the mirror, leaving it shattered and displaying a hundred reflections.

The cells are dark, dump and stinky. From somewhere around, the foul smell of old excrement penetrates Argon's nostrils. He flinches disgusted.
He continues walking east, feeling assured that no guard will disturb his mission. Enola should have taken care of all of them, she always has a thing for killing humans.
Argon didn't bother stopping her, after all, humans cared more about a rat than a demon's life.Argon snaps his fingers and all the lamps in the cells light up simultaneously. Most of the prisoners groan in annoyance while rolling on their thin beds to face the walls.
His eyes land on the man he's looking for, just as Enola appears beside the cell door. With a slash of her blade, the chains at the door cut open. She pulls it open, then steps aside with her head bowed for Argon to go in. "He's the one!"
The noise has long woken all the prisoners who are now peeping through the bars, curious about the two strangers that have showed up.
But none of them are as terrified as the men in the cell Argon has walked in."Who are you?" One of the three men asks as he curls on his bed. His eyes are full of fear, but also...darkness.
Argon ignores him completely and heads for the one at the corner. He looks worse than a pet, malnourished and has a broken arm.
"You! Come here!" Argon orders him.
The frail male breathes in the intimidating air, his knees weaken before he even attempts to stand.
A little hesitation leads to Enola striding in and straight for him. Without caring about the broken arm, she drags him out of bed, pulls him against the hard floor, ignorant to his painful groans before dumping him at Argon's feet.Lilith's scent is undoubtedly being emitted by this human, insulting Argon in every way. He wants to snap his neck at the smell of it. His hatred for Lilith has deepened from the days of pain and regret. The one whom he had loved truly had ended up betraying him.
"Where is she?" Argon snarls.
"Wh-who are you-"
"Lilith! The woman you've slept with in the past week!"
The human gasps before rising on his knees. The horror crossing his green eyes occupies more of his body than his soul.
"I...I...I...I have slept with a lot of -"
"Blue eyes, brown hair. Where. Is. She?" He snarls again, this time, squatting down to level with his prey.
He pushes back the hood of his cloak, allowing the weak human to look at his face clearly under the yellow light."I don' kn..." His voice trails off as he sees Argon's eyes start to glow a frightening bloody red color. Authority suddenly registers in the air, he is a higher demon.
"Mercy demon lord! Mercy!" The male pleads, tears rolling down his face. The sharp stench of urine makes Argon move away before straightening.
"Wuss!" Argon curses.
"Where is she?" Enola questions as she steps forward to deal with him. She knows Argon too well, he hates these disgusting smells more than he hates Lilith.
"I don't know, but...but I overheard her talk to the mirror. She...she spoke of delivering the shield to the giver. That is all I know I swear on my mother's li-" Swoosh!
Blood suddenly gushes from the cut on the man's throat with sheer pressure, then down his body slumps...lifeless.A spark of anger crosses Argon's chest noticing the blood now on his shoes and pants. He eyes Enola. "Couldn't you wait till I'm out of here?"
She doesn't answer, just hangs her head as an apology.
With only a snort, Argon turns around and heads out.
"My Lord!" Enola calls, freezing his movement. He moves his head to the side, awaiting her reason for such an abrupt yell. "What about the rest of them?"What to do with over twenty worthless humans? What can they offer? Ah! They can be his ears and eyes.
"Kill whoever refuses to be my slave."The order causes an uproar of frightened gasps from the prisoners, some trying to hide in nothingness.
