A small speck of light was visible in the distance. I 𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙙.. but was somehow alive? I knew I wasn't in the same realm as everything looked... different, in some way. I blinked and and apparently teleported into a room with a fellow person. Hello?

Welcome back to the land of the living, young one. The being spoke.

I turned in silent panic, I wanted to go back. I had left the world for a reason, not to just come back. I found that it was just a solid wall behind me and I turned back around. The being seemed to have an amused look. I felt lost for words.

There is no going back now. The being sighed, taking a small step towards me.

Why.. Am I here? I slowly spoke as I looked up at the hooded being. They sort of had a soothing voice, trustworthy but full of secrets. What happened? Why- Why am I still.. Alive? I began to stutter, nervous.

The being scoffed, looking into my eyes. It felt like they were staring through my soul with their glowing gold orbs. Welp, there's no going back now kid, they spoke.

I started to trust the being and relaxed before beginning to think of useful questions that hopefully wouldn't annoy them. Could you.. Tell me about this.. Place? I said carefully, trying not to mix up my words or speak too fast.

The being noticed the change in the child's demeanour, but didn't question it. You're currently in the kingdom of Xantria. They spoke softly. In the dungeon, might I add. - You don't seem like you're from here young child, may I ask where you've come from? They questioned the young being.

I looked down from the being's eyes. Where did I come from.. A thought came to my mind. ..Etherium? I even questioned myself, where had this thought come from? I looked around again, this time, I noticed the dark stone walls that was surrounding me had small little sketches, as if someone had stayed here for a long time. Some were of trees, others were animals. I looked away from the wall and back at the being.

The beings eyes slightly widened. Etherium you say..? I've never met a being from that realm before. Not many Etherium's come around here, infact none at all. The being had spoken, intrigued by the what I had said seconds before.

A shiver ran down my spine. No one? I thought. I noticed the being was interested and decided to change the subject. So... How does this realm work? Is there- any dangers? I began, truly curious. I felt like I was asking too many questions.

Well.. I suppose this realm is like any other realm - from what we know atleast. There are.. dangers ...though the dangers aren't entirely discussed within the walls of the kingdom folk. The being softly spoke, lightly shifting their posture to lean more back on the dungeon wall behind them.

I began to understand the way of this realm and slowly nodded my head. My legs were starting to feel sore so I sat down on the cold, hard floor and hugged my legs close to my chest, thinking about what to do next. A few moments of silence went by before I shifted and a sense of unease came over me.

After a few moments of silence went by loud footsteps were heard, slowly thundering down the stairs of the dungeon. The being turned their head towards the noise, swallowing hard they slowly arose from their leaned back position and sighed. Moving their eyes back to me as I was sat on the hard ground, they softly whispered; The kings here.

I sat up alerted, the king? I didn't dare say anything in case I was too loud and listened to the footsteps, growing louder and louder. I could hear another set of footsteps as well, a guard perhaps? I looked down at the floor, worried. What would he think of me in this situation, a useless, defenseless child sitting in the corner of a dungeon uninvited. I decided to have faith in the being that had found me.

The door to the dungeon opened with slight force, seeing that parts the steel door was starting to rust. The king, following behind him a guard, entered the room. The kings stern eyes looked at the being, then at me. Hello little one. The king deeply spoke, his eyes softening at the sight of me. The guard that was stood beside him glared at the me with cold eyes, I noticed the unknown being glancing towards the guard in hopes that he'd stop.

I stared up into the kings soft eyes, starting to shiver from the cold cell. ..Hello? I said, beginning to feel nervous from the guards cruel look. Although, I suppose, guards are supposed to look menacing. Please don't hurt me I whispered. The king chuckled. Alright Ellion, stop scaring the child. The guard bowed and stepped back, not a single word came out of his mouth. Now, young child. Where have you come from? The king bent down and seemed to either ignore or not have anything to say to the being. I began in a shaky voice, Etherium. The king had a new look on his face, perhaps curious.

The unknown being stared at the interaction between the king and I under their hood with curiosity. The king smiled at me, speaking, I've never met anyone from Etherium before.. let alone a small child. Say, do you recall on how you've appeared here? he asked, his head slightly tilted to the side with a questiong look and a softer smile appearing on his face.

I looked back down at the dusty floor. I believe I died, then somehow woke up alive, here. I informed with effort. The king seemed to have a skeptical but thoughtful look on his face. Died? he seemed concerned and he took a step towards me. Well then.. What's your name, young child? I was hesitant at first, what would he want my name for? I shook the train of thoughts away as the words came slowly out of my mouth. My names.. Lydia. He must've had enough information as he stood up straight again. Nice to meet you Lydia, I'm king Elefian. He said briefly before turning and whispering to the guard. Ellion then nodded and walked back up the hall. I wonder what he said. I decided to wipe off my dusty knees and stand up again, looking at the being quickly before looking at the King.
