Chapter 10. Take Her Down a Peg

Six of them are currently eating lunch together at home; Olivia and Ariya will return to their hectic schedules in just one more day; Alex has turned into a zombie over the past two days due to the unexpected break that her hospital experienced. There was another accident at the construction site, and several workers were left with serious injuries that required them to undergo surgery. As one of the best orthopedics surgeons in the country, her skill is one of the most in-demand; as a result, she has been performing surgery for the past 50 hours and, now that she has returned home, she is unable to do anything.

Ariya forces her sister to eat while Alex tries to open her eyes, "P'Al, eat."

"No, I need to sleep."

"You haven't eaten in almost three days, so here's avocado juice from P'Kanya and lots of chocolate." Olivia enters the room, carrying a glass of avocado juice.

"I am, now leave until I get my food."

"Oh my God, I can't believe you, people will pay to have Ariya Mekhala feed you some food."

"I'm not people; I'm your sister. Olivia, take her out, kiss her, hug her, do anything to keep her away from me." When they heard that, Olivia and Ariya immediately became flushed with embarrassment, and before Ariya could say another word, Olivia dragged her outside along with the plate of rice and eggs. They are just worried about Alex because they saw the terrible news and saw how Alex was in front of the emergency room trying to save more people, with her scrub filled with blood, and along with her colleagues and nurses, they just keep trying to save more people.

Alex was accorded an incredible amount of respect by those around her. Despite the fact that she had the financial resources to pursue any career she wanted thanks to her family's wealth, she decided to go into the medical field and become a licensed practitioner. She never thinks about the money and is only concerned with saving as many lives as she possibly can, so she has no qualms about helping or touching her patients in any state they may be in. Ariya recalls Alex being moved by the film Hacksaw Ridge, in which a young man with faith just keeps on helping more people, all he wanted and prayed was; please God, let me save one more person, one more, just one more.

Alex found a lot of motivation and encouragement from watching that movie, and it made her want to become a physician so that she could help save more lives, even if it was just one more each day. And she saw it yesterday, how the news was breaking the terrible news and how Alex's hospital was doing everything they could to help the injured from the collapse construction, "the one who built the building was Thanawat's family Company, no?" According to Anop, after returning from their tour of the Philippines, he doesn't have anything to do today and decided to laze around the house.
