2. "Guilt"

Rora's giggles echoed in the dark room with only her beautiful smile visible. Her laugh was like a melody. Suddenly her sparkling eyes turned into watery eyes. Tears started to fall from her eyes.

"Thankyou, Ryder. " She was suddenly standing on the roof of a hospital.

No, Rora would not jump. Right? She would not suicide!

"For making me learn the meaning of life, for teaching me how to smile again. You brought colours to my life, Ryder. But I never thought that you will be the one to snatch those colours away. " Tears never stopped falling from Rora's eyes. She spread her arms and closed her eyes with a smile.

"Rora! " Ryder shouted as he woke up with a jolt. He had sweat all over his forehead and his eyes showed how scared he was.

No, Rora won't suicide. She hates suicide, she won't do it! But wait... why does Ryder care? Didn't he become Rora's friend just to win money?

But again, does it really work like this? Ryder agrees that he had made a special bond with Rora that made it difficult for him to leave her. But if he had stayed with Rora, his reputation would have been ruined. And his elder brother, the leader of their friends group, the bullies, would've beaten him to death.

Ryder's brother, Ace, has always liked bullying. He used to bully Ryder too. And step by step, Ryder became one of the bullies too. Bullying became like a drug to Ryder, he couldn't live without doing that. But it all changed when Rora came. She always helped him calm down and not pick up a fight. She was the one who made him realize that he had been through the same bullying and he knows the pain, then why would he want to give the same pain to others?

The day Rora told Ryder how her brother bullied her, Ryder knew the feeling. From that day, Ryder had hated Rora's brother, even though he had never seen him.

Once, he noticed the smile Rora gives when she's hurt. The same smile that she gave to him when he revealed the truth.

For some reason, his heart aches. It's been two days since the truth was revealed and he hasn't been feeling well. First, bullying was like a drug to him. But now, Rora was like a drug to him; he cannot live without her. He has realized.

But why is he feeling like this? Hasn't he always took advantage of people? Hasn't he always bullied people untill they begged him to leave them?

But it was different this time. All the previous victims of his bullying, had left cursing him. But Rora... she left with a smile.

He asks himself, was it really right to break a person who had just finished collecting their already shattered pieces?

And what about the dream? What the hell it was?! He has to get up and see her!

He quickly stood up, got fresh, wore his clothes and ran to the door. As soon as he opened the door, he saw one of his friends; Vinson.

"Woah, that was a wonderful welcome. " Vinson chuckled. "Seriously bro? You're opening your door after two days like this? And what happened to your handsomeness? Why there are those bags under your eyes? " He looked worried. "You look weak as well. Have you been eating at all? "

"Rora. " Was all that Ryder could say.

"Really, bro? After these two day, all you had to say was her name? " Vinson rolled his eyes and came inside the room, pushing Ryder away.

"Vinson, has Rora been coming to school since that day?! " Ryder asked, panicking.

"No, why? " Vinson asked back as he turned on the tv. "Bro, at least keep your room clean. " Vinson complaint.

"I'm going to find her. " Ryder told him and ran towards Rora's dorm.

Vinson sighed. "I knew from the start that this would happen. " He turned on the news channel and his eyes widened. "Wait, the person who was glaring at me today is a celebrity?! "

"Sir, people saw you in X.Y.Z. hospital with a girl two days ago. Would you please explain that? " An interviewer asked.

"I don't know that girl. She just jumped in front of my car. I had to bring her to hospital. "

"Two days ago? " Vinson asked himself.

"You're really kind, sir. It was raining so hard and you got out of your car just to bring her to hospital! " One of the girl squeaked. Vinson rolled his eyes and turned off the tv.

He stared blankly at the floor and smiled softly. "She's in hospital, huh? " He layed back at the bed and started to count. "3, 2, 1-"

"Vinson! She isn't in her room! " Ryder blasted inside the room. Vinson got up and stretched himself.

"Bro, tell me. The truth. " Ryder didn't know what Vinson was talking sbout. All he had in his brain that time was Rora. "What do you really feel towards Rora? "

He doesn't know. All he knows is that he wants to see her, hug her and tell her that he's sorry! But at the same time, he don't have the courage. How is he gonna face her after all he did to her?

What does he feel towards her? It's something you feel for a vert special person. And no doubt, Rora has become such a special person to him.

"Ugh! " Ryder groaned. "I don't know Vinson, I don't know! I just want to see her and she is nowhere to be found! " He yelled. It feels like his heart is being crushed under a huge rock right now. Yes, guilt, it is called.

"Let's go. " Vinson forwarded his hand making Ryder look up at him. "To Rora. "

No. No! Why would she be in hospital?! What happened to her?! Ryder thoughts were filled with negative thoughts as he sat outside Rora's room. The only thing he was able to notice was how a person has been glaring at him all this time.

Has he seen him somewhere? He doesn't remember. But he doesn't waste his time thinking about it.

Shaking. His leg is shaking and his heart his beating loudly. His hands are getting sweaty and his mind is filled with negative thoughts.

"Sir, she is asleep. You can go and meet her now. " A nurse told to the guy who was glaring at Ryder.

"Do you know that guy? " Vinson asked while Ryder shook his head. "He was glaring at me too. In the morning. " Who is that guy?

Ryder stared at the guy suspiciously as the guy entered Rora's room. Why would he go to see her? Who is he to her? Does he know her?

"Mordecai is just so cool! " One of the nurse fan-girled while the other one agreed.

Wait- Mordecai?! What the hell is he doing here?!

"He is Mordecai?! " Vinson asked, standing up with a jolt. He looked at Ryder who was also standing now.

Ryder nodded.
