"Where did you learn that?""College. I studied historical literature for my degree, so I had to read many existing accounts that were adapted to children stories."
"Well great, because you just ruined the story for me." Taerae looks at Hao and found his grumpy face
"Oh come on, you're an adult! You're not a kid who just found out about the truth that Santa Claus isn't real."
While the two bicker, a bell suddenly rings and Matthew stood up "I'll go get the desserts." he faintly smiles as he walks away to fetch the food.
Hanbin turns to them, "It is pretty upsetting to find out about that." he looks at Hao as if he wanted to comfort him with that comment.
"I've been reading Woojin the book every night when I tucked him to sleep. I've become familiar with the story.""Why are you guys making me sound like a bad guy for revealing the truth behind your favorite children's book?" Taerae pouted and Zhang Hao glared at him while Hanbin only chuckles.
Matthew came back with the desserts and both Zhang Hao and Taerae were amazed at the plating and taste, it's as if Hao's disappointment was blown away when he saw the food. They took pictures and started eating while having get-to-know conversations with Hanbin and Matthew.
Zhang Hao shared how he got to Korea and became a kindergarten teacher, despite knowing the difficulties with teaching and the language barrier. Matthew also shared his story and Hanbin; how they've become friends and how he helped Hanbin built his dream Coffee bar. Throughout the guy's sharing, Zhang Hao could only wear an envious smile. Mr. Handsome and Smiley Guy? What a perfect combination. He sadly thought
They spent an hour eating and talking till Zhang Hao checked the time, quite disappointed that he had to leave.
"Aigoo... I think I have to go! I have an upcoming class at this hour and I almost forgot about it! Thank you for treating us!" He stood up and bowed at Matthew and Hanbin. "Taerae, are you gonna stay here for a while?"
The other nods, "Are you going to take the taxi?"
"Yeah. I got to go!" He bowed once again and quickly walked his way out of the building.
"I'll drive him there." Hanbin also stood to catch up to the other and left Taerae and Matthew dumbfounded.
Outside, Zhang Hao's head was turning left and right for a taxi to pull up, but none. He checked his watch again, he's still got enough time to walk to the main street for a taxi.
"Let me take you there!" He turned around and found Hanbin shuffling to his car. He got startled and quickly took small steps away in an attempt to escape. Again??? The guy did so much for him these days and Hao feels in debt if he let this man do as he pleases.
"It's fine! I found a taxi over there!"
"Don't worry, I'm going out to buy groceries!" He opens the backseat door and stood there waiting for the guy to get in.
And again, Hao was caught on the spot. He doesn't want to be a burden to Hanbin furthermore, but the other keeps pushing. He also considered the thought that If he refuses his offer, he might get offended. In the end, he softly sighed
Hao you bish this is the last time
Zhang Hao gets in the car and Hanbin followed, turning the engine on and driving the car to the streets.
After Hanbin questioned which place he should drop him, awkward silence fell through. Awkward to Zhang Hao to say the least. He sat stiffly in the back seat, head noisy through the quiet atmosphere, not knowing what exactly to do when he knew for a fact he doesn't have to do anything.
