Chapter 3 The talk

Ring ring ring
I am relived but also nervous at the same time because I know what I have to do. I quickly shove my books into my locker we don't have any homework on the first week of school. Then I see him Brayden holding hands with none other than Callie and then I decide that I will get a head start home but it's too late because Braden's already spotted me . " Hey aria wait up" he says running over to me after saying good bye to Callie. "what !" I say a little to snappishly because I can already see the hurt registering in Brayden's eyes " I'm sorry" I say " I didn't mean for that to come out that way" I say quickly "it's ok" he says "anyway did you hear the good news I got a girl friend an we were so worried that we wouldn't find a match . Callie's so perfect for me don't you think ?" He says i say "yes" even though my mind is screaming no. Then the rest of the walk home was completely silent . when I got up to my room I started to cry my eyes out. I didn't even realize that I had to cry and it doesn't help that Brayden lives next door and his window is facing mine. I quickly race into my closet and dry my eyes and put on my pjs witch is a purple tank and the pants are green and blue dotted. I take off my necklace that Brayden gave me and shove it into the back of my jewelry box. I don't think that I will be needing it anymore because Brayden has a girlfriend . And to think that I was going to confess my feelings to him. just then my phone starts to ring . I glance down at it and the caller i d says Brayden and I really don't feel like talking to him right now . I decide I want to take a shower so I do. then when i get out I have 10 missed calls from Brayden and 6 new messages then my phone rings again and I am relived that it's not Brayden but grace calling I answer " Hi" I say "hi says grace " so did you tell him"she asks "no" I respond "why not?"she questions " well he got a girlfriend it's Callie" " and he knows how much I hate Callie but then he goes on and on about how much Callie has changed" I reply frustrated " oh and Callie really he missed what was right in front of him. he could have had the best girl around." she says thanks" I say "how about tomorrow I will have my mom drive over to your house and pick you up and we can go to school together , oh what's your address?"says grace " that sounds good and my address is 606 poplar lane ". I reply "well I probably should get going " says grace "yea me too "I say "oh and aria"she says "yes"i say " wear your best outfit show him that getting a girlfriend doesn't bother you and show him what he missed out on" she says " ok grace I will bye"i say " bye" says grace and hangs up. as soon as I get into bed after dinner I fall asleep.
6:25 am
Beep beep beep
I quickly hop out of bed and pick out my outfit. it's a pair of black leggings and a neon pink dress over it the dress only has one sleeve and it's an off the shoulder sleeve I put on some black combat boots and put my hair into a ponytail and grab my wallet and phone and head downstairs . When I get downstairs I find that Shelbea has already left for school. I pour a bowl of cereal for myself my mom and dad have both left for work .I sit down and eat my cereal and listen to my phone messages the first ones from Brayden it says"hey aria it's Brayden I am worried about you please call me back." and the rest are the same . then the door bell rings it's grace. I grab my backpack and hop into graces car. "hi aria "says grace "hi grace" I say "aria this is my mom mrs Douglas"she replies " hi mrs Douglas thank you for driving me to school" I say " no problem says mrs Douglas .and me and grace talk about what we should do about Brayden and Callie on the ride over .
