the empire a place of corruption and greed but there's a revolution going to free the empire and an assassin group called Night Raid right now night raid is welcoming back Tatsumi a fellow member of the team he was taken by a general of the empire her name was Esdeath and she apparently gained a crush on him when watching him in a tournament unknown to her that he was an assassin but after sneaking away and they had to deal with Dr. Stylish who found there base but thanks to akame and the reinforcements that the boss brought they won. in the new base Tatsumi is now asleep in his room but then out of nowhere he felt a deathly chill.

it's been a few days since I escaped Esdeath and we had to fight Dr. Stylish, but we were able to defeat him now in are new base I was going to sleep but then I felt a chill but not a normal one it was like I was cold inside then when I opened my eyes I was walking on a weird floor and saw very dark knights then I heard a deep voice.
???: In life you were a hero to your people.
Tatsumi:(me a hero what joke but what does he mean in Life I was)
