Subaru and the knights just defeated the whale, however, when checked on who was still okay, they then noticed that Subaru was missing.

after fighting and beating the whale I find myself in this weird shadowy void place then I hear this unsettling voice.
???: "Hello young man welcome to the void."
Subaru: "Whose there" I say as I turn around to see a strange dagger next to a book of some kind.

???: "oh, where are my manner my name is Xal'atath the sentient blade you see before you."
Subaru: "Okay Xal'atath where am I, there was something important that I was doing back there."
