After cuddling and snuggling for what felt like forever, the two dark haired teenagers took turns taking the shower, with Stan throwing on a clean pair of boxer briefs, a t-shirt and a pair of worn-out basketball shorts, and Wendy stealing his faded Denver Broncos t-shirt all for herself to wear.
Some time earlier, she also had texted both of her parents that she would be staying over at Stan's place for the night, with her heart booming in her chest over her mother's encouraging texts and a giddy smile not managing to fall from her face.
The teenage girl felt incredibly happy and relieved over the fact that both of her parents were so supportive, especially since she had been worried about how they would react to her spending the night at her ex-boyfriend's, but Vanessa and Sean's supportive words had been more than enough to put her at ease.
''My mom's okay with me staying over.'', Wendy said as Stan walked inside his bedroom and closed the door behind him. She got up from his bed and shuffled over to him, showing him the text messages she had received from her mom a few minutes ago. ''She's actually really happy that we've managed to work things out!''
Stan simply beamed in response, feeling a huge weight being lifted off of his shoulders.
''That's great.'', he replied, pulling Wendy into a tight hug and caressing her soft black tresses with his fingers. ''You know, I was also worried that they wouldn't be okay with it. Given everything that's happened with your family recently, I really didn't want them to worry about you as well.''
The ravenette nodded in agreement as they pulled apart, resting her head on Stan's chest. ''Yeah, but my parents do trust us and know we're both responsible. We'll be fine.''
Swapping another gentle smile with each other, both Stan and Wendy stood in silence for a moment, enjoying the comfort of each other's presence and still not believing that they had actually managed to sort everything out – especially after everything that had happened between them over the course of the past three weeks.
The pleasant silence was, however, suddenly broken by Wendy letting out a rather big yawn and stretching herself as far as she could. She could feel her cheeks getting flushed again as she noticed Stan checking her out and smiling over how simply adorable she looked to him.
''Feeling sleepy, sleepyhead?'', Stan said teasingly, but also attempted to conceal his own yawning at the same time, prompting his love to let out a snort in response.
''Yeah, sort of.'', she admitted.
With another yawn of Wendy's proving that it was probably the time for them to hit the bed, Stan effortlessly picked Wendy up in his arms again. He walked them over to his bed and laid her down on the right side of the bed, before walking a few steps across the room and shutting off the light.
Laying down beside her, Stan extended his hand to Wendy, allowing her to get closer to him and spoon herself against him. She sighed contentedly, resting her head on his chest and feeling a whole lot of delightful goosebumps forming all over her skin as he held her close. Remembering that this was how they had always slept together whenever they'd had sleepovers at each other's place before their seemingly final break up all the way back in sixth grade, Wendy's lips upturned into a smile at the very fond memories.
''So, what do we do now?'', she murmured.
''Well...'', Stan began. ''We can talk about it in the morning, if you want to?''
''Mhm.''
Stan shifted himself to get more comfortable, prompting Wendy to do the same, although he was a bit surprised by the off tone she seemed to have in her voice. ''Are you okay?''
