Gripping tightly onto my cart, I pushed it through the wall, the familiar scarlet steam train has entered my sight; as usual the platform was busy with Parents worrying over their children, little 1st years that was either scared or very excited. My mother has came behind me, slightly patting my back and giving her a slight smile in return. I proceeded to the man who boards luggages and animal cages onto the train. It was good to be back in England. Grabbing my tie-dye shoulder bag, I walked to my Mother, she was currently talking to her long time best friend, Narcissa Malfoy.
"Cordelia! Darling!" Narcissa cooed, kissing me on both cheeks "It's so nice to see you, you have grown into a beautiful young woman"
"Thank you Narcissa" I smiled
"Well I think you should board the train, sweetheart, don't want you missing on your first day back now do we?" My Mother suggested
"Okay, Nice seeing you again, Narcissa" I hugged her "Bye Mother, I will see you on Christmas"
"Make sure you write to me" Mother asked
"Every week, if you must" I giggled
I waved goodbye one last time and entered the train. walking through different carts, I have found an empty compartment near the end of the train, where most 7th years go. I sat on the comfy seats and got out a book, Dracula by Bram Stoker. I love horror stories, it was always one of my favourite genres to read. half way through the book, the compartment door slid open, there stood Harry Potter
"Cordelia?" He asked
"Hi Harry" I smiled
"You're back"
"I know"
"Sorry for disrupting you, I was just finding Neville"
"It's okay"
"By the way, Your friends are just 4 carts down"
"Thanks, Harry" He walked out of the compartment, closing the door, forgetting something, I quickly catch up with him
"Hey, Harry" I said out loud, earning his attention "I just wanted to apologise for how I acted towards you since 1st year, I promise I'm a way different person"
"It's okay, some people change and deserves another chance" He smiled "I accept your apology"
I smiled, giving him a hug then went back to my compartment, resuming on reading my book; I didn't really want to see any of my old friends right now, maybe I want to see Blaise because he was always been my best friend but the only person I'm dreading to see was Draco. We had a history together, we was best friends since birth, grew up together, never had a serious fight just silly ones, I had to watch him go out with Parkinson, oh how I hated that year and finally when we hit our 3rd year we fell in-love, he was my date for the Yule Ball, we were in the Inquisitorial Squad together and then the downfall
*flashback*
I received an owl from Mother and Father today, it was bad, we had to move to Italy until the war had gone down, Mother didn't want anything to do with this, she was on either's side but my father's loyalties was tied to the Dark Lord, he agreed with Mother sending the both of us to Italy, I also had to cut off my connections with everyone back here in England, meaning I had to break up with Draco… tear spilled onto my cheeks, not taking the news quite well.
Dinner time arrived, I walked to the great hall, I took my normal seat, in between Draco and Blaise. It was the last dinner for this year at Hogwarts as tomorrow we'll be going home for the summer break. I sat in silence, barely touching the food that was on my plate
