Mk showed him all around in town what people do, it changed his perspective from seeing how usual he does to something else. He saw how beautiful it is outside and the elder people planting, nature, and the breeze of the wind.
It was relaxing and carefree. It made his temper calm down, stopping by his Father's (Pigsy) noodle shop. He sat in the middle as Mk prepares ingredients and such.
He noticed that it was kind of quiet and he was the only customer. He looked back at Mk tying up his apron. "Uh, where are the Dragon Horse girl, the pig, and the glasses?"
Mk placed a cutting board at the desk while he was boiling the water on the stove. He pulled out some onions and garlic and some other vegetables.
"Pigsy left me in charge of the restaurant, Mei has trained with her parents, while Mr Tang is doing whatever Monkey King sent him to do, while I'm out here all left alone. I didn't have any idea what to do now but my only option was you" Redson was caught off guard when he mentioned him.
"Me? Your 'only option'? When did that come to mind? When did you even think of me as an option? Why? How?" Mk left him questioning. In the meantime, he soaked the noodles down to the boiling water as he waited.
"You're lonely too aren't you Noodle boy?" Redson saw how Mk felt when he heard him say it. "I suppose so... I barely even find anyone to have in company with after we defeated Lady Bone Demon. Looks like people are getting a little bit distant these days..."
He felt bad somehow for the Noodle boy, feeling a lack of empathy from his skin. The guilt from his heart tried to hold it.
"Not every day would always stay like this forever, remember that. Especially making things stay the same 'forever' will take a long time. You can't change it." Red son spoke as normally he could.
Mk listened to the red hair word by word, looking at his expression. "Wow" was the only word Mk could say out of his mouth. He gets how deeply Redson explained it to him and makes him think that the usual Red doesn't say anything out of context and got into an actual conversation with him.
"Dinner's ready!" Mk shouted breaking the silence from the room. Redson watched Mk put every single ingredient inside.
Seeing how Mk cooks and prepares the meal, made Redson feel like he wants to keep watching impressed by his talent for cooking.
He remembered his Mother's feedback about the food Mk and Pigsy made for the 3 judges.
"The Noodles were actually soft and just have the right texture, the soup was not... bad... it taste just right, everything tasted delightful. I don't know how the little thief and his chief cooked it well, I wished you were there to watch but you and your Father are doing some bunch of work. I bet one day you'll get to try one of the Noodle Boy's cooks and see for yourself..."
His eyes gazed down to the bowl following Mk's hand slowly pushing it in his direction, giving him tea and chopsticks. Left with the spoon inside the bowl.
Redson lost the gaze of his eyes and began to raise his eyebrows with wide eyes amused at how the noodles looked like and how they smelled.
Redson's stomach growled, Mk offered. "Eat up Red son! It's on the house" With his wide grin, Redson picked up the chopstick and slowly let it dive down the soup.
He opened his mouth and began to munch the noodles. "Sooo??? What'd you think about it?" Monkey kid leaned next to him with sparkles in his eyes.
"It's..." he swallowed the noodles down from his throat feeling relaxed. "Kind of good, actually..." he took a sip of the hot soup tasting the salt and spice consumed inside.
