You crouched down to pet your cat while Zach went into the kitchen.
"Hey (y/n), do you want some popcorn?" He asked.
You thought about it for a moment and then replied, "Nah, I'm good."
You continued petting and cuddling your cat while he got himself something to drink. As Zach returned back to the room with just a water bottle in his hands, you stopped playing with your cat and approached him. His blue button-down had the top button undone, so you reached over to fix it.
"You know, I was thinking we could just stay in and watch a movie tonight. I mean, I don't have work tomorrow or anything so I don't need to get to sleep early." Zach muttered as you removed your hands from his shirt.
"That sounds nice." You grinned at him and he timidly smiled back. It amazed you how he could still be so shy after dating you for a year. Zach took a sip of the water he brought with him from the kitchen.
"So, what kind of movie are you thinking? I'm kinda in the mood for Disney, not gonna lie." He laughed. You both agreed on rewatching Tangled for the hundredth time.
You put it on yourself to build a blanket nest on the couch while Zach logged into Netflix. Pillows, blankets, and a duvet were all combined together in a circular home of comfort.
As soon as the movie got started, you took your place on the right side of the couch as Zach assumed his position on the left. The opening scene started playing with the story of the flower. It was all so familiar to you two.
"(y/n)?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
You blushed, still loving the sound of that. Zach's voice always quivered on the word 'love'. It made it so sincere and adorable.
"I love you too, Zach." He sighed and put his arm around you, pulling you into a kiss.
"Let's stay in every night."
