chapter 5

as the elevator gets down to the first floor the group are then met with a bunch of police waiting to go up

"his on the last floor" Dakota says and they nod aa the try get the group out "wait but my dad is up there" 

"miss you need to wait here" one of the police says as sam grabs Dakotas arm and takes her out of the hospital 

"fuck I need to tell mom" Dakota says going onto gales contact and giving her a call "mom I need you to come to the hospital now" 

"Kota whats wrong" 

"its dad he put himself in danger" Dakota says as tears fill her eyes.

"im not far away what did he do" 

"he went back to where GHOSTFACE was to shoot him in the head" 

"sounds like your father im not far away ok" gale says and Dakota nods even though gale cant see her

"alright ill see you soon, love you" Dakota says as she hangs up the phone.

not long after the call gale arrived at the hospital, Dakota runs up to her and wraps her into a hug. "has your dad left the building yet" gale asks and Dakota shakes her head 

"oh shit" sam says looking over at the hospital as there were two people from the corners office wheeling out a stretcher with a body bad.

"dad" Dakota screams out as her eyes fill with tears "no please" 

as Dakota tries to run up she gets stopped by officers who pull her back and she tries to fight back with them "no please I need to know if thats my dad" she cries as one of the officers hold her back.

"whats your fathers name" the officer asks as Dakota takes a deep breath to calm down.

"Riley, dewey Riley" she says and he nods and walks over to the people from the corners office and he starts to talk with them.

the officer gives them a nod as he walks back to the teen who has worry and fear all over her face, "im sorry miss but the man in the bag is in fact your father" as those words come out of the officers mouth Dakota feels everything around her stop and it feels like apart of her died.

"no, no please this cant be real" the girl sobs as she falls onto the floor choking on her own tears.  as the teen was bawling on the ground she feels a pair of arms wrap around her as she looks up she sees her mom holding her tightly with tears coming from her eyes.

"im sorry baby" gale says making Dakota cry more. "his safe now, he's in a good place"

"he cant be gone, ive almost lost everyone who cares about me, first my own boyfriend then my dad why, why me" Dakota sobs making her moms heart drop as she listens to her daughters sob.

"I know baby, I know you dont deserve this" 

"why him out of everyone why dad" Dakota asks and gale shrugs.

"I know its not fair, but please take deeps breaths I got water in the car once you calm down we'll go get you a drink yeah" gale says and Dakota nods.

"holy shit Dakota" amber says running over to the teen who was on the ground "I heard what happened to Wes and your dad im so sorry" the teen says pulling her into a hug.
