Chapter - 6

Y/N P.O.V

He walked me across the hall with all the eyes on us some of them were filled with envy and some with jealous. I already feel dizzy with all those stares.

Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen introducing the host of the dinner, Mr. Jeon Jungkook" I almost flinched at the sudden announcement.

Jungkook: "One of the main reasons of this ball dinner is to disclose my marriage. I am officially a married man now. And I proudly introduce you my wife, Jeon Y/n" he declared and the hall was filled with cheers.

None of them had genuine smiles on their faces, those fake applauses made me sick to the core.

Jungkook continued his speech while I roamed my eyes through the hall. Instantly a smile was plastered on my lips seeing three familiar persons. Taehyung, Jimin and Kate.

Taehyung had the boxy smile as always while Jimin and Kate had a guilty look. That day I shouldn't have behaved like that. Even though they hid their identity I cannot ignore the fact that they have been for me through my ups and downs past year. I better talk it out with them.

Jungkook: "Y/n?" I snapped back to reality.

I looked around and found everyone busy in their works and realised that Jungkook speech had ended.

Jungkook: "Where are you lost, princess?"

Y/N: "No where. Can I go over to Taehyung and others?" I asked.

Jungkook: "Yes, you can. Go on!" he released his grip and I strode to them.

Y/N: "Hi!"

Taehyung: "Hello, Chipmunk! You look stunning" he complimented.

Y/N: "Thank you. You look handsome yourself too"

Turning to Jimin and Kate, I greeted them with an awkward 'Hey' and they greeted back.

Taehyung: "Yah! Make up already!" he nudged Jimin's shoulder making him shy.

Kate: "Y/n, I am really sorry about what we did to you and we deeply regret it but please understand that it was an order given by someone whom we can't dare to deny" she said with her head hung low.

Jimin: "Yes, sunshine. We never meant to hurt you!"

Y/N: "I am sorry too. It's not your fault and I shouldn't have taken my anger on you both"

Kate: "Y/n, it's true that we faked our identity but we never faked our love for you. I truly loved you as my best friend" I can see the tears brimming in her eyes.

Y/N: "I know because it never felt fake" with that I pulled her into a hug.

After a long and consoling hug, we pulled back and saw Jimin waiting for my hug. Chuckling we shared a quick hug.

Taehyung: "The reunion calls for a celebration"

Taehyung: "Drinks" he called while a man appeared with four Champagne glasses.

Taking a seat on the nearest table Taehyung and Jimin talked about some mafia stuff while I rambled to Kate about my meet with Vicky.

She told me that Jungkook helped him in his early days of his business and that's how they both become close. Talking to Kate helped me so much, all the nervousness I felt before was long gone.

After a while I felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I found Jungkook.

Jungkook: "How about a dance?" he extended his hand towards me.

Y/N: "You really should stop here. I never attended any balls so; I don't know any dances" I shook my head in denial.

Jungkook: "I know. Come on" he dragged me to the middle of the room and once again everyone stopped their works and focused on us.
