"oli, i'll just wear shorts and crop top. not a fancy dress. he'll just take us out to dinner in a restaurant."

"you're such a loser." she said.

"thanks." i said sarcastically as i put on ny white crop top and shorts. i looked at my phone to see what time it was. only 30 minutes left. "oli! c'mere! we need to go!" i yelled. i heard footsteps from the stairs and saw oli as she took her car keys. i twisted the door knob and we left our apartment. she started the car and drove to the restaurant.

we waited at the parking lot to meet ashton and his friends. "oli they're here." i said. she nodded and left the car as i did the same thing. i saw ashton.

"hey ashton!" i yelled. "hey. guys this is kendall. kendall meet my friends, calum, michael and luke." he said as 3 boys got outside his car. "ashton, calum , michael and luke, meet olivia."i said as they shaked her hand. except for luke as i slapped his hand away. the boys gave me a weird look. i just shrugged. i feel awkward, super awkward. i want to get out of here...

i felt my phone vibrate. i looked at my phone and it was a message from my cousin.

arlene: ken i need you asap please. :(

kendall: why?

arlene: your dad.

kendall: oh. i'll go and pick you up. stay in your room. please arlene.

arlene: he's not drunk. he passed out.

"ashton i need to go. family emergency. im so sorry." i said. "uh sure. next time." i gave him a thumbs up. we just entered olivia's car and told her to start the car and head to my dad's house.

kendall: arlene we're on our way.

arlene: ken i dont know what's happening. uncle was sent to the hospital and i'm here at the house waiting for you. please hurry up.

i closed my phone. "oli please hurry up." i said. she nodded.

i immediately opened the door and saw arlene. "arlene where's dad?" i asked. "hospital. lets go." she said. we entered the car and went to the hospital.

"fred miller please" i asked the nurse.

"room 38 fifth floor." the nurse said while she scanned the computer.

"thanks" i thanked her. we rode the elevator to fifth floor and we found room 38. i opened the room and saw my dad lying on the bed.

"dad?" i called.

"dad." i repeated, a little louder.

"dad!" i screamed but he doesn't reply. i sat beside him and he screamed. which made me scream too. i furrowed my eyebrows .

"sorry ken." he laughed. " that wasn't funny dad! well maybe a little" i laughed.

"uncle what happened to you?" arlene asked. "well i just figured out that i have a heart failure. i was from the grocery store and i passed out. i woke up here. the doctors told me they tried to revive me. here i am." he explained. i can feel tears coming out. altough he abused me and mom i still love him. i only gave him to arlene because he's from jail and i cant take care any problems. i hugged him.

" i love you dad." i said. i got confused why he didn't said the same thing. i looked up and saw my dad's skin color changing and his eyes closed. i slapped my dad's cheek lightly because i keep on waking him up but he doesn't wake up. i began to panic.

"arlene call the doctors please. oli can you get a wet towel?" i requested and they nodded as they did what I requested. "dad. dad wake up please!" i shouted whilst tears came out of my eyes. then i heard those hospital machines did a straight beep sound. i looked at the machine and saw a straight line. no bumps was seen. mascara started staining my cheeks. i hugged him. "no dad no!" i said. i heard the door open and the doctors shoved me to the left and the nurses made me leave the room.

i saw olivia and arlene running towards me. " what happened?" they both said. i was about to say something but a doctor cut me off. i waited for him to say something. "miss miller?" the doctor asked. "yeah?" i said, sobbing. "im sorry to say but mr. miller is dead." the doctor said.

what?! my mouth opened slightly whilst more tears came out. "oh okay. t-thanks." i said. olivia and arlene comforted me.

"luke why did she slapped your hand away?" i asked luke. "i dated her once and something bad happened." he said as he sat down the couch. wait he got her pregnant? he cheated on her? she cheated on him?

"what happened?" i asked. " uhh uhh. well she cheated on me." luke said, obviously lying. i just bought it because i dont really want problems with him. we always argue when i say he's lying. i really like kendall and if we make it to 5 dates -well maybe- i'll ask her to be my girlfriend. " so im gonna go sleep now." i said as i went to my room.
