I couldn't believe that I had agreed to follow her. It was an unnecessary risk, although my biggest fear was that we would get a good fight from the director if we were caught. We headed to the nearest forest. Wednesday walked as relaxed and calm as ever. She admired her calmness about such things.

"What exactly are we looking for?""Clues about the monster."Saying that, my eyes widened. I swallowed, stepped in front of her and stopped her feet.-What's happening?"It's very dangerous, and we're not even armed.""You can always go back and hide in the room like a chicken," she said as she brushed past me.

The silence in the forest was so terrifying that it chilled anyone's blood. I only listened to my breathing. But I noticed that something was not right, it was a strange feeling. And soon I realized something, the birds were not singing, nor the crickets nor any insect.

"Wednesday...something is wrong, there's no noise," I whispered.—Death is in charge of killing in silence—those words did not help at all.

We walked through the silence of nature without saying a word, I just followed her while she looked at the trees. As it progressed, they seemed more sinister and darker, as if something were contaminating the place. Wednesday seemed to be enjoying the experience, the complete opposite of me who could only pray that he would return soon.

"Look," she said, pointing to a spot ahead.

As I got closer, my heart sank. It was a trail of blood.

"It seems recent," she said with a small sinister smile, "we're close."

We followed the blood until it reached a leaf-covered body up ahead. It was from one she had seen that day in Jericho because she recognized her face. She had been very nice to him by showing him around his store very happily, and now he was dead. I almost threw up from the scene while hearing something from my partner's mouth.

-Fascinating.

When my body finally let me speak, I turned to her.

"Wednesday...let's call the police...and...let's get out of here." She couldn't look at the scene. At that instant, something snapped nearby. Turning around, we both saw a terrifying creature nearby, it was a little bigger than us, with big eyes and a terrifying appearance. My legs trembled from the sheer fear that invaded my body.

He still had a trace of blood in his mouth. Looking at Wednesday, we nodded and immediately began to run through the woods, the direction didn't matter. My feet did not stop running tirelessly, wanting to get out of there. I heard a scream followed by a bang. I looked and saw Wednesday being hit.Out of instinct, I screamed and a kind of wave came out of me pulling the creature away from her body, falling to the ground. Immediately she got up and looked at me, I fell scared, not understanding what was happening. Had I used my power?, but I didn't quite know how.

"Run!" she told me.

The beast looked at her and moved closer to her.
