Samuel stumbled back, landing on Tony's bed, as the vampire lunged at him with fangs bared. But Samuel swiftly defended himself with a roundhouse kick, sending the vampire crashing to the floor."You're stronger than I thought, mortal," the vampire said, coughing as he got up. He had blue-ish gray skin, black spiky hair, red eyes, and sharp fangs. Dressed in gothic attire, he appeared to be around Tony's age. Samuel instinctively pulled Tony closer, his protective instincts kicking in.
"Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Samuel demanded, eyeing the young vampire. The vampire rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Well, my name is Rudolph Sackvillebagg, and I'm very weak. I need something to eat," he explained, looking at Samuel.
Before Tony could offer a suggestion, Samuel quickly covered his mouth. "Uh, Tony? He's a vampire. I don't think he'll enjoy mom's meatloaf," Samuel said, exchanging a knowing look with his younger brother. Tony nodded, smiling beneath Samuel's hand. "I know just what he needs. Follow us!"
With some hesitation, Rudolph followed Samuel and Tony as they quietly made their way to a nearby farm outside the castle. Trying not to disturb anyone, they reached a field where cows were grazing. Rudolph flew towards one of the cows, attempting to mesmerize it before biting its neck.
Samuel turned away, feeling a wave of disgust at the sight. His mind wandered to the vampire boy from his dreams, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was any connection. He absentmindedly touched his neck, recalling the sensation of the vampire's lips on his skin.
"Sam, are you alright?" Tony asked, walking over with concern etched on his face. Samuel offered a gentle smile and placed his hand on Tony's shoulder. "Yeah, just a little cramp in my neck. I'll be fine," he replied, not wanting to worry his brother. He kept his dreams to himself, not wanting to reveal too much.
After Rudolph finished feeding, he wiped his mouth and approached them with gratitude. "Thank you, mortals," he smiled. Tony beamed back at him. Samuel and Tony learned that it was Rudolph's birthday and that his family was in danger from an evil vampire hunter named Rookery.
"That's insane. Why is he after you and your family?" Tony asked, concern evident in his voice. Rudolph sighed, explaining that his older brother Gregory hunted for mortal blood and Rookery followed him back to their home, they've been going to other tombs and catacombs as far away from him as possible.
"That's messed up," Samuel said, a tinge of anger in his voice. "Does he really think all vampires are that bad?" Rudolph looked at him, weariness in his eyes. "He's been hunting us for years."
As Rudolph prepared to leave, Samuel glanced outside and noticed that sunrise was approaching. "Wait, you should stay here with us. It's almost sunrise, and Rookery could still be out there," Tony suggested, standing up and offering his support to Rudolph.
"Tony's right. It's safer to stay until it's all clear," Samuel added, peering outside at the rising sun. Rudolph paused for a moment, considering their offer, before nodding. "I'll need a coffin to rest in," he said, looking at Tony. Tony grinned and nodded. "I've got just the thing!" he exclaimed, leading Rudolph to his room.
Samuel smiled softly at the sight of Tony befriending a boy, especially a vampire boy.
(Sorry for the long delay. I've just been so busy with college and I had very little time to make this chapter, but here it is and I hope ya'll like it❤️)
