When morning came, Hisame began her task. She wanted to get to the bottom of what became of Miko's friend. She had asked Suzu to come along, expecting her to agree, but instead she stated there was another matter she needed to attend to. Hisame didn't ask any other questions and let it go.

The castle was quiet today. Not many people were out doing things yet. Then again, it still was quite early. Hisame hoped she wasn't too early and that Tamao hadn't woken up yet. She wanted to begin this search as soon as possible.

"Good morning, Hisame~"

"Huh? Oh, uh, good morning, Yachiyo." Hisame turned to face the girl, "Do you know if Tamao is up yet and if so where she is?"

"In the garden." Yachiyo pointed in the direction it was at.

"Thank you." Hisame bowed.

"What do you need her for anyway?" Yachiyo asked curiously.

"Just wanting to ask a few questions and see if she has the answers to them." Hisame replied.

"Am I not allowed to know these questions?"

"You won't know anything about it. It's about a person who may or may not have been imprisoned somewhere in this kingdom."

"Oh. I see. Hopefully she can help you."

Hisame nodded and then continued on her way. She made her way to the garden. Tamao was humming as she watered some of the flowers.

"Good morning, Tamao." Hisame greeted as she entered the room, "Do you have some time to talk?"

Tamao paused and looked her way, "Sure. If you don't mind me continuing what I'm doing."

"Not at all." Hisame sat down on the bench, "Um... have you gotten anything from the village about what we did?"

"No."

"Okay. Well... anyway do you by chance know of someone by the name of Yatsuki? She's a friend of Miko's who went missing and we're wondering if she got caught stealing and imprisoned." Hisame asked.

Tamao set down the watering can and joined Hisame on the bench, "Do you have any other details about this girl?"

"Um... she's the same age as Miko. Uh... runaway kid. That's the best I got. Miko didn't even know much about her past."

Tamao was silent as she thought over what Hisame had said. Hisame waited nervously for her answer.

"Come with me. Let's look through the reports. See if we find anyone with her name." Tamao stood up.

Hisame followed her to her office. Tamao pulled out papers and started searching through them. Hisame hesitantly took some and did the same. There were a lot of names to go through.

"You've had a lot of prisoners..." Hisame commented.

"My parents loved throwing people in jail for the slightest offense to them." Tamao replied, "It amazes me how they weren't overthrown earlier."

"Oh..."

"Hmm..." Tamao paused at one paper, "Yatsuki... Hanare. This is a missing person's report, but... could that be her?"

"Let me see." Hisame looked over the paper.

It matched the bit that Miko had told her about the girl. Especially with the fact that she had run from her home.

"It might be." Hisame confirmed, "It matches a lot."

"Let's see if there's any updates here..." Tamao combed through the rest of the documents attached to that paper, "Hmm... ah, yes. Says she was found and returned home. Perhaps she is there?"
