The rendezvous I did that night resulted in a scolding that could last for a lifetime but all I could think was how the strangers lips feel against mine.
How the warmth of his body comforted me against the cold chilly night.
How his big hands cupped my ass firmly.
And how I would do it with him again.
Shelly knocked on my desk, distracting me from my daydreaming.
"Hey"
I snapped and looked at her, "Sup?"
"You should come with us tomorrow" she said and unconsciously tucked her hair behind her ears.
"Where?"
She rolled her eyes at me, "To the race, of course. Tomorrow's the 4th round"
I titled my head, "why would I go?"
Shelly rolled her eyes at me, "So you could support us"
I leaned closer to her, "Why would I support you?"
She groaned, "Just go okay? It'll be fun"
I sighed, "Fine"
She relaxed and smiled, "Do you have another car?"
I frowned, "why?"
Shelly grinned, "I'll ride with you. Pick me up in this address and make sure to be early. I don't want to be late" she then tossed me a piece of paper with her address in it then walked away.
I smiled to myself, maybe tomorrow wouldn't be boring.

We parked a few blocks away from the event since cars are not allowed near it. Me and shelly hopped out of my G-Wagon and I helped her out with her bike then we started to walk inside the event.
"You're not pretty boring to be with, Dahlia" Shelly said, walking her bike beside her.
"I could say the same" I say, tucking my hands inside my sweater.
"You should hang out with us more, you know. The girls will welcome you"
I sighed, looking at the stage ahead, "We'll see"
Shelly chuckled.
We neared the group just in time to see the MC yelled on the mic, "Hello beloved riders!" he then started to ramble off about the rules.
My eyes started to wander around, looking from each teams to their individual members, I notice Shelly doing the same when the MC announced that the race will start in 10 minutes.
"Why isn't Jay here, yet?" She frowned, looking around.
"So, you and Jay a thing?" I asked, looking in her face for a reaction.
When Shelly blushed, I scoffed. "You didn't even hide it"
Shelly looked past me, "Huh?"
I turned to see the direction she's looking, "he's finally here" her smile got bigger.
I snorted, "You got it bad"
She rolled her eyes at me, "And you? Don't you have someone?"
I shrugged, "No. It's been a long time since I had one"
She looked at me like I've grown another head, "You're kidding?"
I chuckled, "Nope" I say, popping the P.
Shelly grabbed my arms, "Great, then let me introduce you to the guys"
The team was huddled near the finish line and they all looked into our direction when we neared.
"Hey, guys!" Shelly waved her hands at them, "I bought some supporter"
I groaned and pinched Shelly's side which only made her giggle.
I nodded at them in greeting. Not knowing what to say since all of them are looking at me intensely.
Then, Minu smiled at me, "We will do our best so you'll enjoy the race"
Then, an idea popped inside my head, "Show me a good race, then I will sponsor you"
A man with big brown eyes and brown hair beamed, "Really? You'll do that?"
I shrugged, "I can't see why not"
"Hey, who are you?" A guy with a mustache titled his head at me looking confused. Minu smacked his head, "Are you fucking stupid? She's Dahlia West. You're new classmate!"
Recognition dawns on him, "Oh, right. I heard we have a new classmate from Yuna. By the way, I'm Dom Kang" Dom waved his hands.
"Oh, I'm June" he reached out his hands to me and I took it, "I'm the oldest here"
I nodded at them, "Nice to meet you all"
The red haired guy looked at me, glared actually.
June chuckled awkwardly and puts his arm around the red head, "This ones Vinny. He's not from Sunny High but he's a good friend of ours"
"I see" I say and took a step forward "A red hair like th-"
Vinny caught my wrist just before my fingers touch his hair.
I smirked, "Sensitive" I teased just as he yanked away my wrist.
Vinny rolled his eyes at me and focused on the group, "They should make us ride like hell. Why bother with all this King crap? This doesn't seem like my kind of race" he looks at the group, "I'm skipping it"
I ignored the rest of their banter and leaned my body against the wall, taking the time to look around. A ring on my phone startled my thoughts.
I grabbed my phone and looked at the dialer, groaning, I answered it, "Sup"
"Don't you 'sup' me young lady" My fathers angry voice was heard on the other line, "Where are you?"
I banged my head against the wall. Of course, how stupid of me. He must have someone who follows me around or at least just in school.
"I'm safe. That's all that matters"
"Why is it so noisy out there?"
I sighed, "Fine. I'm watching the race"
"League of street?"
"Mmhmm" the loud banter caught my attention. Seems like Shelly is giving them a hard time.
"Stay where you are, I'm sending someone to be with you-"
"Don't bother. I-" I look at Shelly and her team. Although they are fighting, I can still feel the bond they have with each other. And it pains me to admit that I want to have that as well.
For the first time ever, I feel so alone despite being surrounded by crowds.
"I'm with my classmates" I finally say to my father.
"You are?" I hear him take a deep breath, "Fine. Enjoy"
I was so stunned that I never even bothered to respond. I just stared at the phone as he disconnected the call, wondering what just happened.
My brain can't fathom the fact that my father just told me to enjoy the race.
"Hey Jay!"
The yell startled me from my deep thoughts. I turned to find the group looking at Jay just a few feet beside me, he too looked like someone snapped him from his daydream.
As if nothing happened, Jay walked towards the group and gave Shelly his phone. I walked towards her just in time to hear her do her mischievous plan.
"Sweet! Now I can change my name on his phone-"
I stopped behind her and looked at the missed calls Jay's mom left. "Is his mom usually like this?"
Shelly shrieked, "You scared me!"
"Sorry" why am I apologizing? I don't usually apologized.
Clutching her heart, Shelly took a deep breath, "Yeah. She's always like this. She wants Jay to focus on his studies"
"Should I talk to her? And assure her?"
Shelly looked at me wide eyes, "You will?"
I shrugged, "If Jay wants me to. I can convince his mom"
Then suddenly, Shelly wrapped her hands around my shoulders and pulled me closer, "Aww, that's so sweet"
I jerked away from her, "Stop it that's embarrassing" Shelly just laughed while Vinny shook his head at us and murmured something under his breath.
