LOG 1:
My name is Bert Keil and I'm a 32 year old steam engine driver on Mainland. I work alongside with my co-worker Gordon Ford who is my best mate too. Gordon and I are the crew of 1020, who likes to be called Monti. He is an old engine LNER who used to do express trains back in the old days.

But as time passed by, he grew older and was replaced from being the express and assigned to pull goods trains and passenger trains

But as time passed by, he grew older and was replaced from being the express and assigned to pull goods trains and passenger trains. They did give him the option of retiring from service, but our Controller in the olden days had convinced the railway board to keep him in service and not replace him or possibly scrap him as this was happening at the time of World War II. Which that brings me to my next topic.

LOG 2:
Since the 1950s and the early 60s Dr. Beeching had made a decision to replace steam engines with diesel's. At first, we all thought he was bluffing. But it was soon seen that we were shown that was wrong as over the years more and more diesels have been coming out and more and more steam engines were being taken out of service.

So that also meant that crews of those engines would have to either find new jobs, or have to learn how to drive the diesels

So that also meant that crews of those engines would have to either find new jobs, or have to learn how to drive the diesels. It's a shame really at least Sodor, on the other side of the Mainland doesn't have to deal with this as their controller is the nicest person unlike ours now who has become a real pity dick towards all us.

Were about to leave with our next train now, so I'll update anything else if something happens
