chapter 5: Should we just keep driving?

My phone buzzed throughout the whole day- reminders from harry for our meeting. I honestly didn't think anything of it. He probably just wanted to not let me forget, and being nice.

Time Skip: 12:37 PM, Valerie's House
I set my plate from my lunch on the counter that consisted of tomato soup and grilled cheese, since I wasn't really that hungry.

I tried to ignore all of the messages Harry's been sending me, but one message in particular caught my eye —

Harry
"I know this might be weird to ask, but do you mind if tomorrow we can go somewhere else to talk about Logan's behavior? The school's going to be really busy tomorrow and they're going to use the classrooms for something."

I stared at the message, my heart racing with nervousness every second. I didn't know what to reply with, so I just went with the normal,

"that's great, what time?"

I hit the send button on the bright screen, panicking if my reply was too 'plain'.

He texted back quite quickly, which was expected — his reply to mine was full of happiness (i'm guessing)...

Harry
"I'd say about 5:30, if that's alright with you! Do you want me to pick you up?"

I type back quickly as I smile down at my phone. Oh my god, is this a date? I text back as I cannot stop smiling.
"Absolutely! Fine by me!" I reply back. Shaking.

Harry
"Cool. See you then."

I instantly text my sister Katie (FC: Kendall Jenner) asking if she can watch Logan while I'm gone, she instantly replies with a "Yes, on my way soon." I set my phone down as I yell for Logan. "Logan! Come down here!" He runs downstairs as he looks up from his phone.

"What, Mom?" He says with a sigh. What is his problem lately? "Aunt Katie is coming over, I have a meeting tonight." I say with a smile as I get my phone off the counter, putting it in my back pocket.

"With who?" He questions me. "With Harry?"

I laugh awkwardly. "Pshhhhh, no. It's with my friend." He shakes his head as he mumbles "K." Under his breath.

Time Skip: 4:30 pm
Katie is already at the house, I'm upstairs in my room getting ready playing music on my speaker.

As I'm curling my hair, I think to myself of all the possibilities that could happen. A few moments later I take my hair out of the rollers and brushed it out.

I finished doing my makeup about 30 minutes later, the time was now 5:00 PM, 30 minutes until Harry gets here. I go over to the closet picking out a white sun dress that went to my knees, picking out some black heels to go with it spraying my perfume.

I walk downstairs as I go into the kitchen getting a drink of water, trying to calm my nerves.

"Wow- You look pretty Valerie!" Katie says with a smile as she looked at my dress.

"Thank you! I haven't been with another guy since like- Logan was a baby!" I say with a laugh as I sip on my water, hearing my phone ding.
