Alice closes the bathroom door and leans against it. She knew that if her heart still beat, it would be racing right now.

Alice looks at her hands. They're shaking. Why are they shaking? What was this... feeling inside of her? Alice rubbed her forehead.

I'm probably just hungry Alice thinks. Yes, that's it. I'm just hungry.

Alice walks back into Bella's room and sits down on the bed, her mind racing.

"I'm just hungry, I'm just hungry..." Alice says to herself, trying to convince herself that this was the case. But she found her mind wandering back to Bella. How at peace she looked while she slept in her arms, how right it felt to hold her-

NO! Stop thinking like that, you're not allowed to think like this! Alice's mind yells Think about Jasper! What about Jasper? Your one true love? Your mate?

Alice's mind goes to Jasper, ready to fall back into the sadness she had been living in all those weeks, but she finds that the pain is easier now. It's still there, but it isn't as strong. Almost as if her love for Jasper-

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Stop it! Her mind yells again. Alice rolls onto her back and covers her face with her hands.

"What is going on..." Alice mumbles to herself. This feeling inside of her, it was one that she hadn't felt in decades. Ever since that day she met Jasper. She needed to hunt.

Alice gets off of Bella's bed and goes back to the door. She hears the shower running inside.

"Bella?" Alice asks, knocking on the door, "I need to hunt, is it okay if I go do that? I'll be back before you're out!"

"Yeah, I'll be fine," Bella yells over the shower, "You need to eat."

Alice hesitates a moment before leaving, not wanting to leave Bella's side. However, she knew she had to hunt. She pulls herself away from the door and heads downstairs. She sees that Charlie's car is gone. Must be gone to work, Alice notes. She heads out the backdoor and into the woods behind the Swan house, hoping that her quick hunt will help clear her head.

Alice runs back through the woods to the Swan house. Having finished off a deer, she was starting to feel a little better. However that strange feeling inside her was still there. That little excitement and happiness whenever she thought of Bella and remembered being beside her in bed.

Alice was so lost in thought she didn't notice the fallen tree right in front of her. Her legs smack right into it and she flips over, landing roughly on the ground on her back. She exhales out as she looks up at the trees. And then it hits her. She was in love with Bella. Bella was her true mate.
