A carefree spirit she was,the youngest in her family
Loved and pampered by all
There wasn't a time when her wishes didn't come true
It was hers before she could even think about it
She never knew what responsibilities were
Because her loved ones were there
To protect her from the cruel world
Time flew by she didn't realise
It was time for her loved ones to go away
The truth slapped her so suddenly she couldn't stabilize herself
She was emotionless,numb
Now, there was no one to protect her
No one telling her that it was okay
No one would come to wipe her tears
She felt scared of the truth
It took time for her to realize that now she was alone in this cruel world
Now, the girl looks at herself in the mirror
Her swollen eyes, which shined with mischief before
Now have become dull
Her cheeks, which were cherry red
Now looked pale and sunken
Her face, which was like an open book
Now held nothing
She accepted the responsibilities, the taunts, the fake sympathy
Slowly, but she did
She accepted everything but at the cost of wearing a mask that she can't seem to take off
The fake smiles, the I'm okays felt easier to say and do
Then show the truth, the truth of her broken self
Why?
Because time played a big joke on her now she has no one to call her's
