(I want to start this by saying that I'm sorry if this is confusing, I haven't written for a while so I'm hoping that this follows the story line but if not please tell me and I can re write this part:))

The car video was pretty fun. I had never done one before but it just so happens that I really like to scream at Chris. He just makes the most idiotic comments that are so easy to tell at him for.

Matt didn't talk much. I mean he never does but he is a lot more talkative at their house.

Now we're on our way to go back to the house since Nick has something "fun" planned.

I feel my thigh vibrate so I look down and lift my phone from my leg. My phone screen left a red mark on my leg which I usually hate but I didn't pay any attention to it this time.

It was Nora texting me! I feel like I haven't talked to her in forever. So as soon as we pulled into the driveway I jumped out and ran into Matt's room, knowing the only person who would interrupt was Matt but he wouldn't make a loud entrance like the others would.

I could hear the boys enter shortly after me and I could hear them murmuring about me as well.

"Is y/n ok? Why did she run out of the car so quickly?" I could hear the faint voice of Nick ask.

"Don't ask me?!" Matt said defensively.

"Well go check on her, shes your girlfriend!" Chris yelled. Wait, what? Girlfriend? Matt is by no means my boyfriend. Not that I don't want him to be but-

"She's not my girlfriend..." Matt said as I heard footsteps coming closer up the stairs.

I quickly facetime Nora and begin talking to her when the door slowly creaks open.

"Y/n?" Matt's soft voice asks. I quickly mute myself and tell him I'm on the phone with Nora. He understands and lays on the bed next to me but out of sight of Nora.

I want to tell Nora, don't get me wrong. But the problem is... I know she's going to ask what's going on between us but the thing is, I don't even know. And I could never lie to my best friend.

I have so much to catch her up on. For starters she doesn't even know about my mom, or where I am, or that I've made three amazing friends.

I unmute myself and Nora immediately asks exactly what I knew she would.

  "Who was that?" Nora questioned.

"Uhhhh.... No one?" I can't lie, at least not to Nora. It's impossible.

"Mhm? Well than why did you mute yourself? And why were you talking? Because I know for a fact that my best friend is not going insane and talking to a wall..."

"Hey! You don't know that!" I laugh and we being talking, as I changed the subject. I spill everything to Nora about the events that have occurred over the time I've been away.

After a while of talking to Nora her mom calls her down for lord knows what, so we said our goodbyes and promised to talk more often from now on.

Then I take a peek to my side and see Matt just sitting on his phone and I remember our conversation from this morning.

"You ready?" I ask, hopping up.

"For what?" Matt laughs slightly.

"Grandma... cancer.... hospital... morning talk-"

"Ok, I get it," Matt cuts me off.

We run down the stairs, and I run straight out the front door without paying any attention to Nick or Chris who are sitting in the living room. I turn to make sure Matts following and then I see him motion to his phone telling the boys that he'll text them.

I wave my hand in a "hurry" manner, making Matt pick up the pace. I throw the keys at Matt, and he hops into the driver's seat, ducking his head as he sits, his hair falling perfectly back to where it was.

I'm already in the passenger spot and we're off.

We pull up to the hospital and the nerves are rising now. I begin to play with my hands as we walk it.

Matt's POV

As we walk in, I look over at Y/n and she's playing with her hands and picking at her fingers. She's very clearly nervous.

I reach down and grab one of her hands, she looks up at me and all I do is nod to assure her that it'll be ok.

We walked up to the front desk lady and told her who we need to see. She told us a room number and how to get there.

We rode the elevator, and I could tell Y/n was getting more nervous by the minute. I lift her hand up and kiss the top of it.

"It'll be ok," I say in a soft tone. All she does is nod, but I know it's because she too nervous to say anything.

Ding.

The elevator opened and we walked down the long white hallway for a minute or two before reaching the actual room.

We walk in and I start to just stay over in the corner of the room, to let Y/n talk to her grandma alone but she pulls me over to the side of the bed.

"Hey grandma!" Y/n smiles, enthusiastically.

"Well, hey there dolly!" Her grandma smiles, with the same energy as Y/n. I can see where she got her smile now.

Idk if I like this one but thank you sooooo much for 2k reads, thats insane! I hope your enjoying this book so far, I'm having a hard time finding the motivation to write, but I'm making it work. I think I may start another book but not a fanfic, it would just be a regular mystery type of book. Dw, i'll still post this story as much as i can tho. :)))))
