BIANCA JADE FLORES was born on December 1st, 1971 in Hawkins, Indiana. Her parents, Leo and Gianna Flores, had been living there for several years at this point, and Gianna went into labor while decorating for Christmas. Because of this, they called her their Christmas miracle.
Growing up, Bianca spent most of her time outside, playing soccer with her older sister, Sam, or inside, reading every book she saw.
She was an awkward kid, but very kind nonetheless, always feeding the bunnies that'd come into their yard, never afraid to help a stray pet find his way home.
Her family always considered her to be very intelligent, often correcting them and asking questions to feed her inquisitive nature.
Above all, though, she had a shining light to her, brightening every room she walked in. That light never went out, but slowly began to dim as she reached 3rd grade, beginning to be bullied for her freckles, braces, and heritage.
It seemed as though she suddenly went into hermit mode, seeking solace in her sister's company more than ever.
Then, one day in school, she met a group of boys who were struggling to get their magnet to work in science class. She jumped at the opportunity to help, not expecting anything in return, but surely enough, one named Lucas Sinclair, asked if she'd want to play with them at recess.
Mike Wheeler was hesitant at first, unsure of how a girl might mess up the dynamic, while Will was open if the rest were. Soon enough, they became inseparable, making school a little more bearable despite the bullies that haunted them.

On the night of Will's disappearance, Bianca had just spent the day with the party having another DnD campaign. She went to bed that night expecting a normal morning. However, the next day, she discovered one of her best friends went missing on his bike home.
Immediately, she went into detective mode, working alongside her friends to find him, which lead them to discover El in the woods. She was one of the first to treat El with kindness, quickly forming a bond.
Together, they all searched for Will and in result, the Demogorgon, which was only the beginning of their problems in Hawkins.

Bianca is often shown to be very intelligent, working alongside Mike to develop a master plan to defeat the big bad each time. She also breezes through any math problem in a matter of seconds several times on the show, and has a plethora of knowledge on random topics.
She is also compassionate and welcoming, even when those around her scold her for it. When El was introduced, she made it her job to make her feel comfortable, even though she was a little odd. She does the same with Max, even when the party was not fully accepting of her.
Bianca also is quite a dreamer, often talking about big, seemingly outlandish hopes to go to space and become a successful astronaut.
