That's what she was. Broken. Everything in her life was before she met him. She had put on a fake smile for every day in her life before she met him.
She remembered exactly how and when they met. He killed people just for fun or out of revenge but she knew he wanted to be loved and to be cared for and he was broken too. He was a cocky, sarcastic and an arrogant vampire and she was reminded too much of herself. She was sarcastic, cocky and arrogant — at times — so the two became friends, best friends and soon more.
Both of them knew each other with the back of their hands, when they were feeling down, insecure, help or comfort.
She built walls around herself to stop letting people in but that all changed when he entered. She let a 100+ year old vampire into her heart.
He thought she needed to be happy. In order to that, he needed to repair her. To give her a reason to live. But currently, she was just the same. . .
