Marcus had been lost in thought ever since the kiss with Ciara. He knew he needed to distract himself, so when Angela suggested they have some fun, he thought it was a good idea.

As he made his way to Angela's penthouse, Marcus tried to push the memory of the kiss to the back of his mind. But when he arrived, he looked disheveled and his mind was still wandering. Angela, dressed in her finest silk crimson lingerie and holding two wine glasses, posed for him as he entered the arched doorway.

But when she saw the look on his face, her smile faded. "Marcus, what's wrong?" she asked, putting down the wine glasses. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
Marcus would not move, nor make a sound.

Marcus tried to push the memory of the kiss to the back of his mind.He couldn't shake off the feeling of her lips on his, the warmth of her body against his.

Angela's fingers traced the contours of Marcus' cheek, her voice softly and slowly said. "Do you...need anything?" Marcus stood tall and imposing, like a statue of a Greek god, but his eyes burned with a fierce intensity as he looked up at her. Without a word, he shrugged off his wet blueberry coat, the fabric hitting the ground with a heavy thud. Pulling his Armani belt off and unzipping his Slacks.

Angela's heart skipped a beat as Marcus strode closer towards her, his movements are fluid and purposeful. He backed her against the wall, his body mere inches away from hers. Wrapping each of her legs around his waist and Pinning her hands up above her head, With his born crouching down Marcus lifts her body all the way up on his as he digs deep into her walls. She could feel the heat emanating from him.

Marcus's heart beating strongly against her breast, she stared into his wandering soul and she knew that he was still struggling with something, so she asked him again with a soft whisper. "Marcus, what do you need?" Marcus let out a deep sigh, his eyes closing momentarily as he gathered his thoughts. When he opened them again, they were filled with a sense of longing and vulnerability. Marcus looked through Angela and saw only Ciara and spoke, "I need to make love." Angela's heart skipped a beat as she felt the intensity of his words, She nodded, unable to form words as she was lost in the moment.

Ciara wanted to forget what happened between Marcus and her and just relax. James sensed this and suggested they watch her favorite reality shows and enjoy some popcorn. James's laughter was nervous, and he made some jokes about Ciara and Marcus that made her feel uneasy.

But as they settled in to watch the shows, a heat of passion begin to fire up inside her, She looked around the room as if seeing it for the first time, and her eyes locked on James. It was as if she had never really seen him before, and she felt a sudden urge to be closer to him, thinking it would he'll ease her mind of Marcus. She started to apologize to James. Ciara's eyes were filled with tears as she approached James. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she prepared to experience everything she had been saving for Marcus.

"James, I'm so sorry," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "Sorry for what I'm about to do, sorry for using you to help me cope with my problems."

James looked at her with concern and confusion, unsure of what she was referring to. But before he could speak, Ciara stepped closer to him, her eyes locked onto his.

"It's okay, Ciara," James said, trying to reassure her. "I'm here for you always, no matter what."

Ciara nodded, but she knew that it wasn't that simple.

Ciara leaned in to kiss James, she hoped that the intensity of the moment would wash away all her confusing feelings for Marcus. She had been holding onto a fantasy of what should have been her night with him, but now, with James, everything felt different. James at first backed away confused but as Ciara caressed his hand and placed it between her thighs for him to explore he gave in. Ciara moaning, came closer to his face a second time but slowly and pausing, waiting on James's permission to meet her halfway.

His lips met hers in a passionate embrace, and Ciara felt herself getting lost in the moment. James's hands scrunched up her dress and then wrapped around her waist tightly! Excited he pulled her closer to him, and she could feel the heat radiating between them.

For a moment, she forgot about Marcus and all the unintentional pain he had caused her. She forgot about everything else in the world and focused only on the fresh feelings she had for James. It was a moment of pure bliss, a moment that she knew she would cherish forever.

🌹
The night ended with nothing beyond that forbidden moment. James was a true gentleman, and his kiss was enough to ignite a fierce passion within Ciara. Despite the intensity of the moment, he respected her boundaries and they spent the night in separate rooms.

In the morning, James surprised Ciara with a homemade breakfast. "Good morning Ciara, I made you some breakfast," he said, holding a tray of food. She smiled, feeling grateful for his thoughtfulness. As they ate, they talked about their plans for the day, but Ciara couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. "James, last night was amazing, but I need to be honest with you. I don't want to rush into anything," she admitted, looking at him with a mix of emotions. James nodded understandingly, "I completely understand, Ciara. Let's take things at your pace."

Ciara felt relieved that James was so understanding. She knew that they had a connection, but she also knew that she needed to be cautious. "Thank you for being so understanding," she said, smiling at him. James took her hand, "Of course, Ciara. I care about you and want to make sure we're both on the same page."

"Ciara. I don't want to push you into anything you're not ready for." He paused for a moment, then continued, "But I do want you to know that I care about you, and I want to be with you, if you're willing to give us a chance."

Ciara felt a warmth spread through her chest at James's words, but she couldn't shake the feeling of unease. As they finished their breakfast and headed to work, Ciara tried to push those thoughts aside.

Marcus was always the first to arrive at work, burdened with a towering stack of papers that threatened to topple at any moment. As he struggled to lighten his load before the rest of the staff arrived, She hoped that he was too preoccupied to notice her, that he would move slowly and stay cooped up in his office all day. The thought of facing him after their kiss filled her with a sense of awkwardness that made her stomach churn.

On her way to work, Ciara found herself lost in thought, wondering what Marcus had been up to last night, and what he might be thinking now. She toyed with the idea of telling him about her kiss with James, but the thought of his reaction made her hesitate. After all, they were both single, and he had kissed Angela before. Maybe it was best to keep her entanglement with James a secret for now. Especially since she was still unsure if she wanted to pursue anything with him, now that she had a chance with Marcus.

Ciara planned her next moves and rehearsed her words in her head, only to be blindsided by a shocking revelation at the office. All her careful planning had been for nothing, as the situation took a turn she never could have predicted.

🌹

But as soon as she arrived at the office, she knew something was wrong. The atmosphere was tense, and everyone seemed to be on edge. Angela rushed up to her, her eyes wide with worry. "Ciara, something's happened. Marcus is missing."

Ciara's heart raced as she followed Angela to Marcus' office. The room was a mess, papers scattered everywhere, and Marcus' computer screen was still on, displaying a message that made Ciara's blood run cold: "I know what you did. Meet me at the old warehouse tonight."

As the team frantically searched for any clue as to Marcus' whereabouts, Ciara's mind raced with possibilities. Who could have done this? And what did they want from Marcus?
