Izuku Midoriya was walking through the park on a snowy night thinking about how he will get into U.A. He then sees some kids ice skating and wanted to join in, that was when he noticed the ice cracking, he picked up a staff with a hook on one end and helped the kids get to safety.
Izuku: Are you kids alright?
Kids: Yeah thank you.
Izuku smiled and was about to follow them, but didn't notice that he was standing on the ice and he fell into the frozen water.
Izuku (mind): Is this the end for me? At least I helped those kids, I just wish I could have helped more people.
Izuku then saw a bright glow coming from above, it was the moon.

Then Izuku felt warm almost like he couldn't even feel the cold, his body then rose out of the water and he gasped for air.
Izuku: I can't believe it, I'm still alive.
Just as he landed he noticed that the water he rose from instantly freeze. He then looks at the ice and sees his skin was paler some of his hair turned white.

He was shocked at first and then amazed, he picked up the staff and felt a surge of energy through it. He then saw that it froze whatever it touched and then he looked down and saw that he was flying.
Izuku: This is amazing, I have to show Mom.
Izuku then flew back to his house and opened the door.
Izuku: Mom, I'm home, and you will not believe what happened.
Inko: Okay honey, I'm coming, what was it you-
Inko was cut off after seeing her son's new appearance.
Inko: Sweety what happened?
Izuku then explains what happened to him, at first she was worried that Izuku got sick, but then felt relieved that her son was safe.
Inko: Honey, I'm so happy you're okay, and you can finally pursue your dream of becoming a hero.
Izuku: Thank you Mom, and I think I know my hero name.
